It all means that you don't care, but "das ist mir wurst" (or more commonly wurscht) is more on the level of "I couldn't care less" whereas the expletive-infused scheißegal is ruder, like I don't give a fuck.

I’m assuming you aren’t from the US because they are pretty well known here. Cheetos created the hot Cheetos which is their usual cheese powder but they added cayenne pepper into the mix making them spicy and red. Then other companies started doing the same so now we have hot chips (crisps if you’re speaking UK English)
Also certain girls made eating hot chips a large part of their personality
