Q - Q The horror...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

For added effect, you should take a picture holding the pumpkin at the age you paid them off...say.....64 years old?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

This is old but still holds true, unfortunately

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Ugh right there with you

I like to look at the student debt of Americans in comparison. It's like having a broken leg and looking at a man going through a woodchipper

11 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

Is america the woodchipper or the broken leg?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Woodchipper. My debt for 4 years in the UK totalled around £15k. Some folks in the US pay twice that for a year of tuition fees on their own

You haven't been through the Meridian Trench http://media.giphy.com/media/DPMUkN3JIPkZy/giphy.gif

If you want to pay off student loans, don't turn down ANY job. Best advice I can give. Paid off mine in 7 years - had $40k borrowed.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Only her smile makes me uncomfortable

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If only you could go smash your student loans in the street... Or they just rot away after a couple weeks. Wouldn't that be something?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an America, this country is driving me fuckin nuts

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

You're an entire America?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You've obviously never seen a jumping snapper turtle

11 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

I rather get jumped and bit by a snapping turtle than pay my student loans.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You've obviously never been bitten by a snapping turtle

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have. I may have screamed like a little girl

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Understandable

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except you can just wait until the pumpkin withers away to nothing after a few months.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This looks like it was a photograph that was scanned and then eaten and thrown up by a bear and then posted here.

11 years ago | Likes 249 Dislikes 8

It's atmospheric, meant to make it scarier.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Buuuutttt it's probably just an Instagram filter

11 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

Should have run through a fax machine as well

11 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

It's probably grainy because of low lighting, taken with a phone, and thrown through IG

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

probably iphone 3G and instagram. i actually see grainy shit like this on my facebook feed -_-

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Vogon beurocracy at its best eh?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's reposted, that really fucks the quality.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's only scary if you make it scary. I would think things that you can't control would be more scary.

How does student loans work in the US? Whats the interest rate? Pay back time? How much does an average student owe? And to whom?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

interest rate 6%, ave 25k, and to the various banks but are mostly gov't backed meaning bc student loans have high delinquencies the 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

govt pays the bank back when the loan goes bad.... in other words the banks have minimal liability

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I owe 40k and it'll take about 12-14 years to pay off. 6.8%. Ughhhhh

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

damn thats not a whole lot of time. I got 25 years to pay off 36 k with 1 % (currently).

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've heard there are ways to work around the interest rates, but it's so overwhelming and I haven't looked into it much

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Interest rates between 4-9% for me. I have 30k in debt which is less than many. I owe to Navient aka Sallie Mae, & the US dept of ed.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

ok, then i get why people are mad. Im swedish and our gov lends us the money. I owe like 36 k (us dollars) but only pay 1% interest (2015).

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

4-9% is still very low considering how delinquent these loans are. Also I was slightly incorrect ave is 28k not 25k.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But the Swedish loan is for living costs, right? (I'm German & it's mainly my rent) The US buddies pay ridiculous tuition fees from it :/

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, thats right. we also get like a 30% grant from the gov.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Get a job and pay them off.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Lol, because "get a job" is the answer.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I mean, it is.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It is. I did it. She can do it.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Not everyone is afforded that opportunity and telling someone to get a job doesn't fix the overall problem of crippling student debt.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Never said it fixes the entire problem. But in her case getting a job to pay off the loans is the answer.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

If she can't get a job to pay them off maybe college wasn't the best choice for her.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Rational thought and individual responsibility have no place in whining about student loans, didn't you know? :)
