there was a mom who had twin sons, delivered at home by her mother; people thought she only had 1 son, one would go to school, while she had the other steal, so, lots of witnesses… she got caught eventually. that woman was my grandma’s aunt.
I don't doubt for an instant that you've got a whole bunch of really fond memories you can look back on.
I'm 40 now, but right about the time I hit 30 I started to realize that I really had no fun childhood or teenage memories to look back on. It was all pretty much just a slog of bullshit and family drama.
The one exception is my mother; she worked her ass off to give my brother and I as good a life as kids could hope for. Made all our sports games, Xmas had presents, etc. Love both my moms
(bio mom is still alive and I'm taking care of her now, but I spent almost 10 years taking care of my stepmother while her health was terrible until she passed in 23. She's the one that kept my drunk abusive speed freak father away from us kids while we were with him for mandatory visitation. Fuck California courts in the '80s and '90s. She had a selfie-poloroid of him doing blow off the dashboard with my brother and I in the truck next to him, judge still gave him 50% phys custody, mom 100%legl
