Removing the old Universal Joints from the Drive shaft

This was an exercise in patience, this drive shaft is so old we had to use a Hydraulic press to "push" the joints out of the hole.

And then, we could only get one of them out.

When it came to getting the other one lined up right, we failed and it created a burr in the shaft.

Now driveshafts have to be perfectly balanced, I am considering just buying a new Driveshaft now rather than trying to fix the old one and risking problems later on.

When it comes to home rebuilds, so much of it relies on trial and error and adaptation, we did not have the tool, or the strength we needed to push the shocks onto their respective joints, so we used a C clamp much like we did with the hydraulic press to ease it into place.

A complete rebuild is a slow, sometimes frustrating process, but in the end it will all be worth it when we're the big kids on the block down in Moab, Utah.
