2. I am Canadian. Fuck Trump and everyone who voted for him. Not a brave thing to say on Imgur, but I happily say it to others. Because, you know, threatening my nation with annexation and generally being a huge cunt.

27. Mid-conversation and a wall just pops up...WHAM...well shit, I know what I want to say, but my brain want translate that into knowing the words. I push real hard and sometimes I get through, though.

28. Housing crisis going on in Canada. This is literally how it is. Been kicked out of two rentals in two years because the house sold and the new owners wanted to move in. Last one was dirty: she could have moved into the other side of the duplex, but she wanted us out so she could partition them into four apartments and charge double for each.

34. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. A lot of medication is, I reckon, a direct result of societal structures that crush the wellbeing of their citizens. For example, can you imagine the freedom that would come if we didn't have to worry about having food on the table, or a roof over our heads? Just basic needs met? There is enough wealth for that, for everyone in the world, but we have to have billionaires instead.

#33 while funny, FUCK OFF WITH BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS IN NATURE.
If you want to listen to music, stay home or in a club or in your car. Fuck, wear earplugs. It’s absolutely aggravating to hear someone else’s music pumping in a forest. Or on the beach for that matter.

#10 This suit advice is only for Americans of a certain class and wealth. If you're not upper middle class with a white collar job, ignore it.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He needs new suits, they are too short for his legs

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bingo!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah. A decent suit is what, 500 bucks, not counting shoes, shirt or tie?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My last 3 suits came from goodwill. Maybe 10-15$ each. Wore them once or twice for a job interview, re-donated them.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got a Ted Baker suit still with tags on from a charity shop for £5 a few years back. Cost me more than that to get the sleeves and legs taken up a bit to fit perfectly 😅 but I'm holding on to that one.

My wedding suit though I got tailor-made for me, cost about £350

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was gonna say, the amount of suits I need are = or < 0

The colour combinations work with t-shirt and hoodies too.

As an American, I respect Canada and you guys doing whatever you need to keep good. America is in a sore spot right now and I just hope we don't move closer to Grandaddy Musk's Technocracy.

Thanks. I’m hoping your politicians find their balls and actually stand for their constituents. Sanders, AOC, and Crockett are doing well.

#34 it's also why govenrment doesn't offer to pay for your therapy or medication because they know a lot of people would need both, and it is not profitable to offer any monetary assistance. You either pay for them yourself or don't have them. Last workplace at least paid my medication with the health insurance, now I need to pay it for myself, but still no money for therapy and doesn't look like I'll ever afford it.

It’s fake :)

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had the same reaction, fake though. 9.8m/s for 4 seconds is 19m (62 ft). And, pausing you can see the background on the edges of the fur from the original plate.

#17 He agreed to race a horse, and since they dude already has one...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He agreed to a horse race, not to race a horse. A race of one horse against another. A centaur is not a horse.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes. The centaur will be racing against a horse. A horse race.

#9 I just sleep. Every weekend. Literally get up every 2 or 3 hours to sip water, then roll over and go back to sleep. Life is pointless, nothing brings me joy (in one of these moods recently). Fuuuuuuuuck. Kids I'm American. 😔

#33 bring bear spray. Don’t fucking play music out on the trail you fuckstains. Why the fuck are you on a Trail if you’re going to play music.

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Bells is the answer

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No it’s not really. Sounds from anything travelled out and if it’s on your front, behind you doesn’t get that sound as much. Awareness and bear spray and if you must, talk or yell every once in a while

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hard part about bear bells is getting it around their necks. I’ve been trying, but no success!

#42 all of this, except endless repetition drives me absolutely insane.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have the same lunch almost every day, and building a routine is the only thing that’ll get me doing anything productive (plus i love routine). Having that stability gives me a foundation to do other, spontaneous stuff. If I don’t have that foundation of routine/familiarity, I’m a wreck until I’ve made a new one

My wife is my savior. She’s the planner, organizer, reminder…all of the things I’m not. It’s why I did well in the military, and why I was good as a chef and why I did well with business startups. The military was a very clearly defined and reinforced process but it also allowed for creative problem solving. Being a chef was demanding but in short bursts and also allowed for creativity and business startups were great for problem solving. I got lucky and I learned how to cope, finally.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#11 oh, honey. Religion was a business waaaaay before it hit the U.S.

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

Can you say 'indulgences'? Not to mention the reason why Jesus overturned the tables in the temple was because they turned it into a business.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You could buy saints bones from every roadside vendor in the holy land. Saints must've been truly horrifying abominations.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just look at the actual, historical, knights templar. If they weren't running a business and making a killing doing it I'm not sure what you'd call it.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Don't even need to look at the Knights Templar, just look at how selling "indulgences" was such a profitable thing for the Catholic Church, it made its way into Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales"

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

even pop culture references about them mention the money.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What they mean is compared to England. Henry VIII weakened the church by confiscating their lands and money making ability. The Church of England didn't doesn't have to make money to stay in business. That is the benefit of having state sponsored religion. Church's are able to focus on their parishioners and the local community, not making money.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Really? No mention of England , just Europe. And weakened the Church? He just fired up his own version. Religion is a bane on society and has been for thousands of years. It’s always been about control and power and money. Henry VIII was but a player in a much much larger play.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Religion is a fact of life. Found in every society ever studied, evidence suggests been around 50 kyo +. Expecting society to give up religion is like expecting people to stop dancing or making art or telling stories. Its naive.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t expect them to give it up. Faith is a thing. Not my thing. I’m a show me, ask questions, prove it to me type. Faith has nothing to do with that process. The hypocrisy of it all except for the very few is so typically human. Being able to say, “I don’t know” is a thing. Making shit up so you don’t have to admit you don’t know is sad and weak.

Want was Martin Luther raging against?

Indulgences, among other things. Literally selling heaven tickets for you or your loved ones.
