"Who is the greatest warrior upon your ship?" "The greatest amongst us powerful warriors is the honorable FishStank Mcnibblesears. Truly none can match his prowess."
'Qapla can be either a proclamation of one's own success, or it can be wishing success upon another.
As early as 1984, Valkris said "Qapla' joHwI'" ("Success, my lord.") to Commander Kruge, wishing him well on his venture (to acquire the Genesis Device). It is, incidentally, also the very first use of the word "Qapla'" in the franchise.
Of all TNG's issues the one that bugged me the most is Spot's inconsistent sex. In this scene he's male; in another episode she's female and gives birth to kittens.
Not sure if it's what @Columbus43219 meant, but there's a short comic about Data being replaced by Lore, and then getting revealed because Spot recognises it's not the real Data. I don't know the name but it get posted to Imgur occasionally. I think it might be called 'That Is Not My Owner' or something like that?

As a species we probably would have died off a long time ago if not for cats. Lol

Why would he say success at the start of his shift?

Because it's a Cat that started it's shift.

VictusVonGuyver
The cat is gender fluid to the needs of the plot. I remember when they changed the Trill species to have spots instead of forehead makeup.
Columbus43219
There is already a sort story about spot saving the Enterprise from an infestation of some sort.

Do you mean the one where he identifies that Data has been replaced by Lore?

Where would I find this. I need this story in my life!
