Meta glasses might be in trouble in the EU now as the led indicating it is filming might not be obvious enough and could therefor break privacy laws.

"But me recording everything and everyone with my phone or other hidden cameras is A-OK in my book!" --Hypocrites whining about glasses

What?

Yeah, when it comes to I.C.E. and kidnapping people. Then I think you forfeit your right to privacy.

Don’t you forfeit that right when you go out in public?

Ah, it took me a second but I figured it out. You don't know what you're talking about, when someones holding their phone out recording something. We all know that, no one who does that is then the same fake person you made up about unrelated hidden cameras. Everyone has an issue with the whole "filming secretly" thing, not "filming in public" thats not the complaint.

Funny how it's JUST bitching about a pair of glasses, though. Not "filming secretly." Not even all hidden cameras. But ONE specific fucking pair of glasses.

ONE. SPECIFIC. THING.

If you want to bitch about a concept, bitch about the fucking concept, you dimwitted morons.

Yep, the outrage over these is fucking stupid as fuck. People putting cameras directly in their house, phones have 100x zoom with no warning light, and a raspberry pi can be hidden practically anywhere. Meanwhile these glasses dont record past 3 minutes, there is no zoom, and to "spy" on someone you have to be directly looking at them practically. Its not near as subtle as snapping a pic with a phone. Plus every glass wearer should know already that each pic is probably reviewed.

I can be mad about all of it

We call that irrational because it is. "I'm mad about people secretly recording things, I'm also mad about people mad about people secretly recording things"

Or you can be mad at people recording like normal people holding their phones out and the glasses (didn't realize you weren't docfunkestein for a second) and we'd be in agreement on that. Well, not mad, annoyed. I'm 44 and grew up with a family that didn't really do photos and shit, I have no idea even conceptually why all these people want to constantly record everything. I was raised "thats just evidence" lol.

So its hard... I mean I get it. Their social lives are so very different than what I experienced, there's even reasonable reasons for this... mother fucking kids younger than me paying mortgages on houses twice the size of mine from playing video games with their friends on youtube.

I meant I am mad about the whole "filming secretly" thing and ALSO the "filming in public" thing, that IS my complaint (or one of them).

And there are plenty of people who don't care about either thing, so you can't say "Everyone has an issue with the whole 'filming secretly' thing" because, sadly, not everyone does.

You're correct I could have rephrased it "everyone complaining about this, is complaining about that specific thing mostly" This reply was because I realized you weren't the original poster so I talked a lil shit but then went "oh, or you could be mad at both things" and I'm with you.
