My first time going i had no idea about the secret fry ratio. So i ordered 3 meals ALL with large fries. You ever try to eat 20lbs of fries?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And charge him a 20 for it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Double cheeseburger and fries is 2 bags. Bag 1 is burger and fries. 2nd bag is completly filled with more fries.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Foist upon them... +1 sir.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Former 5 guys employee here, we're trained to fill the cup then do an as-large-as-possible extra scoop. It's supposed to be a fuckload

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is not something to complain about.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Nor is it extraordinary or anything unless you only compare it to mcdonalds wendies BK and such.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Last time I went to Five Guys I got fries with my burger, they put in the container of fries in the bag and that was it. I felt betrayed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shhh. It's awesome. Don't make them feel weird about it or they might stop.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also can confirm. Takes a while, but also eats a while.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ordered a large fries and now my clothes, my home and my extended family are all soaked in grease.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The bad five guys locations don't do this. Lack of sack craftsmanship.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I can understand why you didn't write 'sacksmanship'

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"foist"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That will be $1.99

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Where I live, a 5 Guys double cheeseburger, fries, and a soda runs $15. Local bars have better burgers and charge a lot less.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

So what you're saying is, you hang out in bars a lot.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No, that 5 Guys is overpriced and that I really don't like thinly pressed burgers that have all the taste cooked out of them.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ok, sounds like you're not their kind of customer. No worries.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well u shouldnt be putting "little fries" in quotation marks then!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Am I getting stumped by my five guys? I only get like 1/3 a bag on a large fries.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are they kinda girthy? You might be getting stumped.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuckin' love eating five guys.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Giggity

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is either a double entendre, or it isn't.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't you dare mock what I love about them!@

8 years ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 3

At some time you have to think about portion control. Many people can’t (or won’t) think about it for themselves, hence the obesity crisis.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

5 Guys is too expensive to be the cause of the obesity crisis. Cheap food at the grocery store is the main culprit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s not Five Guys in isolation, it’s the whole arms race between fast food providers that has led to ridiculous portion sizes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The internet gave me an unreasonable craving for Five Guys. I'm ashamed at how thrilled I am at their opening in Milan.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The size efers to the size of the cup. The ammount of fries is basically the same, that is, all who can fit in the bag.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Five guys is awesome, BTW.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Went tonight before closing. Wanted two fries. Only enough fries for one. Refund for fries when I picked up. They said not enough fries.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're really good fries. But they basically put your burger and a fry carton in the bottom of the bag, then fill the bag with fries.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a studying english major, thank you for "foist"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can't seem to find a balance with my local 5 Guys. If I get large fries my family finishes & wants more if I get two I get a week's worth.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What is this place? Nirvana?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be honest the fries kinda suck, good burgers though.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

My first time there I ordered a regular fry for myself....

8 years ago | Likes 963 Dislikes 4

The first time I went my friend and I both ordered large fries, i was in a food coma for a long ass time after that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I ordered a large fry in a drunken state, didn't even make a dent

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I made that mistake as well.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

RIP

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure everyone's done it and the staff silently laugh each time

My one and only time going to five guys their deep fryer was broken. No fries for me. Drove 30 miles for nothing :/

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Me too! Now I order a small for two people.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

My ex absolutely loved fries & would eat all of hers and half of mine at other places. So naturally I ordered 2 larges our first time there.

8 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 1

If you ever end up in Pittsburgh take her to Primanti Brothers and order Primanti sized street fries.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Da 'Burgh!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which 3rd-world country did you lift out of poverty?

8 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 0

The country formerly known as Burma, Myanmar

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I feel like the employees ought to have warned you.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Who the hell complains about getting a ton of 5 Guys fries?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The people who complain about getting a big bag of Dick's in Seattle.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a euphemism for dicks, right?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can some please go order a fries and take a pic please.. I'm from Australia and don't understand

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Seconded

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I second this comment. Took me a while to figure out that "5 guys" was a food chain and not a poorly worded work joke

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Chips. They take a drink cup, fill with chips, dump it into the paper bag, and then fill it up again and place filled up in bag.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What they do is fill a paper cup of (potato) fries. They put that in your paper bag. Then they put at least that many more fries in as well.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i always wondered why the cup? they don t use it to put the fries in the bag because its always covered by more fries

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It might be a counting thing: "we made (cups we had, minus cups we have) many orders". This is a guess; I've never food-serviced before.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you put ALL the fries in the cheap bags they use the grease would tear through the bag on your way out of the door

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

but the fries are always in the bag more than the cup

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I just googled them and read that a large fries is a massive 1300 calories. That's a sensible calorie intake for a person for an entire day

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Wrong. On food packaging it usually says 2500/d for men and 2000/w, but in reality it's slightly more than that

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where I live, max recommended calorie intake is around 1800,however for the Average person who doesn't exercise, 1200 calories prevents 1/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Weight gain. However, this differs in each person. My point was, one cup of fries is almost if not an entire RDI of calories.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

And on a side note, I don't trust what food companies tell me on their packaging...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

That's the food industry man. Idk if you've ever counted calories but unless you do some lifting/etc. no office job man needs 2.5k calories.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Unless they intentionally wanna get fat

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm, went to 5 Guys with, coincidentally, 5 guys. Had them split 1 large fry between the 5 of us and we still didn't finish them all

8 years ago | Likes 435 Dislikes 3

I think they toned it down recently. I'm a little guy, but I finished a bacon cheese burger and large fries last night. It was a challenge.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mediocre.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where are you getting all these fries? When I get a large and a burger, the bag's not even full, half at the most with a 2 party and fry.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Never been to this place

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thank you for your contribution to this thread

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then... Why comment?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...what? Really? I've never been to Five Guys, seriously how big are these fries?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When I went with my mom, we both got a burger, and we shared a small fry. We didn't finish the fries.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Literally what they do is take the fry container size you ordered, place it in a brown bag, and just start shoveling fries into the bag

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I kinda want a picture of this insanity.
