Sharks are not aggressive towards humans on their own. Only when they are put in a food frenzy (always caused by humans to attract sharks). It's not always food frenzy stuff, sometimes it's territorialism and sometimes it's just curiosity (they don't have hands to grab stuff, so they use their mouths).
Related to the video above, I once saw a video by a shark researcher who helped remove a hook from a shark's mouth. A while later, she said more and more sharks started coming to her to get their own hooks removed in the same area. That meant the first shark was somehow able to communicate to others that there was a human who could help them get rid of those hooks. That blew my mind like few things ever have.
This is important to recognize, that sharks aren't as naturally stupid and vicious as most people tend to think. They are also an important component to the ocean's ecosystem.
Hunting them to extinction is a very bad idea. In fact, shark meat isn't all that enjoyable to begin with. They should be a protected species.
