I personally agree with you, but I was using that as an example how Devin isn't partisan, and will dole it out to both sides, when it's wrong, in his opinion. But he's criticized Trump far more often, because Trump keeps breaking so many laws and norms.

We deserve what we tolerate, and we tolerate terrible people. We let them spread terrible ideas, have kids and make them terrible, vote and elect terrible leaders.
There needs to be a corrective mechanism for society to improve over time. The law is supposed to remove harmful people from our society, but it doesn't do nearly enough. So maybe it's down to the individual/community, if every racist got their teeth kicked in when they opened their mouth, that would help correct society.
