Can verify. My boyfriend is a dad. He helps me fix things all the time! (Blown ballasts, tires, fans, spa equipment at work) Soon I will inquire about instqlling a new garbage disposal.

I called Dad 35 minutes ago.

Battery mower FTW! Spend that saved time playing billiards or new home projects.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s the carb. It’s always the carb. Just spray some carb cleaner in it and start it. You may have to spray while starting to jump it

Love it! I hope this for everyone.

My dad could do all the things. Preparing his garden, buildings sheds, simple pools, extended roofs, a deck, kitchens, modifying his RVs for decades. Now when I asked him for help with my kitchen he drilled a hole into the water pipe, couldn't fix that and spammed me with calls until I got home. And also broke a cupboard 👍

lol. My father in law backed my car into a tree slamming the door off when he tried fixing my car. He was a mechanic 😂

Miss you old man

This is some awards worthy cinematography and editing

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If I really had the motivation, I could tear down a lawn mower and rebuild it too

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idiots.... just buy a new one.....OBVIOUSLY. ok yes now this is the part when y'all tell me not everyone can afford a new lawnmower. OK FINE!!! So just go a few blocks over and steal one.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you can afford a house you can afford a lawnmower… but fixing things yourself certainly saves a ton of money you can use for other things

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But... stealing one from your neighbor is better for the economy. You save money for stealing, they get to buy a brand new one. Maybe even make an insurance claim. Putting a lot of people to work. Salespeople, insurance adjusters, Walmart self-checkout machines. They would get a brand new upgraded lawn mower, you get their old one, and that in itself is like recycling. So really if ya want to stimulate the economy and save the planet.... just steal a lawnmower from your neighbor.

My entire family used to call me for everything. My dad had stomach pain, called me. I have a bs in engineering. What the f do I know about medical stuff? (Turned out he was having a reaction to a new medication. Took me like 5 minutes to Google all his meds and their side effects)

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Should have just told them to go to their doctor.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did

The New Balance shoes are a nice touch

2 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

I tried, but they break down about as quick as the $20(with shipping) ones from aliexpress, even the US and UK made ones that cost $200

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Biggest thing I look for in shoes is the what the soles are made of. Vibram one's are usually a good bet. I also tend to get zero heel drop shoes as they have no midsole or almost no midsole, which ironically is better for my back. When shoes wear unevenly for me it messes up my back real fast. Going from forced heel-strike walking that most shoes encourage to more of a mid-foot walking reduces shock delivered anyway, and replaceable insoles reduce shock too.

My dad has dementia and is deteriorating physically.

IT Dads “Did you turn it off and on again?”

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fear a man who can fix a mower with a claw hammer.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This dad f***ks

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Must be nice to have a dad

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

makes me miss my Dad. He couldn't fix jack shit. However, he was always there when I needed him. From the time I was 3 years old, fixing things was my job.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I miss my dad :( one of my biggest regrets in life is not learning more from my dad when I had the chance. My dad was a master Lather.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is me for my brother and friend group. I'm the handyman with all the tools and decades of watching This Old House.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'd rather tear my ACL than spend any prolonged amount of time getting help from my dad.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this the same Dad from another video that was saving a weird piece of wood for 30 years and finally found a use for it?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Idk, dad with a drill walking through a gate without tightening anything? Some might call this fake.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

my dad told me when i was in the 3rd grade that all rivers flow south bc gravity is in the south

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My dad is the opposite. If I ask for help I get a groan and then mumbles and grumbles how I can’t help myself.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ain't got no gas init

2 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 3

He just a liddle feller

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do not know where you’re from, but my brain has chosen to read your comment as though you’re from England and it makes it much funnier to me

“Ain’t got no gas, innit”

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Iam from England, but that's just a happy coincidence

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hah! Brilliant!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or has the weedeater gas oil mix in it.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

sigh... go watch Sling Blade. Now!

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

“Ya see? Always thinks of the simplest things first”

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some folk call it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade, mmmhmmm

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Left gas in it over winter, it turned to turpentine and clogged the carburetor.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Put a liddle mutturd onnit.

As a dad who had a great dad I’m really sorry about your dad. If you weren’t an internet stranger that likely lives nowhere around me I’d be happy to be your ‘dad’ 😃 I’m sure you’re a great kid

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ve literally never heard that last sentence. You’ve got me bawling. Thank you kind stranger

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You got a dad ?

2 years ago | Likes 357 Dislikes 2

You clearly don't have kids.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nope. Came home from school and found his lifeless body in our home office. That was 15 years ago.

Anyone offering to play the role? Mine died over 14yrs ago.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, nah, mine forced us to watch how to replace brake hoses while the neighbors kids parents took them to the pool because hurting us was the best way to legally hurt his wife.

Nothing like getting a ten minute lecture about wasting electricity for leaving the pantry light on threatening to "break into your house one day to leave all the lights on and walk out".

But hey, boomer dad was an only child and getting *everything he ever wanted* growing up was just so goddamn rough. /Rant.

Yea, but he thinks the vaccine is fake, Trump won 2020, only black people steal hellcats (so they can run from cops), oh and the lgbtq community is a plague in the US (even though gay people helped him through his divorce. Oh and he is a cop. So yea, I do have a dad... technically.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Wow. Hope none of that rubs off on you.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Mine died :(

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Haven’t seen mine in 31 years. Don’t even know if he’s still alive. I learned to fix a lawnmower by myself, so I did ok.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Small engine repair is more fun when you get to do it your own damn way without some barking at you to enact the minutiae of each screw turn.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have a half disassembled toilet (I was trying to install a bidet but the plug twisted off WITH the hose, and I don't have tools) and I wish, so badly, that my pap was still alive. He'd bring his tools and make me do it while he taught me. But when he passed, my mom stole EVERYTHING. Y'all, he had like 15 10mm sockets. Proof in my post history. But yeah, my mom is a bitch and I miss my pappy. 😞

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Since I was 3, I've seen him a total of 2 occasions. In 2021 he died from Covid 94 years old. At least he left me a nice inheritance.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Siri?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah this girl don’t need a dad, I just replaced a sump pump yesterday, and it involved measuring and cutting pvc, all while standing in an inch of water.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have 2 and neither one can fix a lawnmower

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Gonna need to get 1 more...make sure he knows how to fix a lawnmower

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What part of a lawn mower is he fixing with that drill?

2 years ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 9

Serves as a wrench too with the right bits. Not a great one, but work on small shit like a mower.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gotta put speed holes in it somehow!

2 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 1

Though an impact driver would be preferable, a regular drill will work fine for taking bolts out.

2 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

Think he meant because it still had a drill bit on it.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Sons clearly rounded something off, now he needs to drill, extract and cut a fresh thread in.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

If it were my dad? Fixing the gate on the way out.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I usually have to do major surgery on the mower every spring. My drill is used often. Socket set is used more, but most used tool of mine is profanity.

2 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

You mean Magic Words.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Thats to show the mower he aint fuckin around

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Could use it with a screwdriver head bit to remove the air filter housing, or several other parts of the engine cover.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yes! It's hard to explain, it's dad-magic.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of it, it's dad he does what he wants

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Two to three aerodynamic holes in the gas tank. If you had a dad you'd know this...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have concerns about the hammer
