I'm just gonna tell you, as a practical matter, unless you're living paycheck to paycheck, you should invest your savings in safe stocks, s&p or bank stocks or something. I hear you, but to me, the sense of the economy isn't the stock market that can only directly influence a small portion of the people.
To me, it's at least two factors: The number of jobs increasing, and the pay of those jobs. Not necessarily the minimum wage, but the average wage.
I am not an economist but I feel I understand that raising minimum wages will affect the prices of everything else, but I feel that people should be able to work one 40-hour job to have all finances and benefits.
