I think my kneejerk reaction was that everyone is defending Russia, it might just be the way short clips lack full context (and me not watching the full clips). He is definitely much much more closely tied to Israel. You are right calling him an asset rather than an agent or spy. Finding the truth is hard but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, and it is true that the media much prefers to paint him as working for Russia than Israel.

Catholic teaching does not say that the Battle of Armageddon needs to occur in physical Israel or that it will even be a literal battle. Furthermore, Catholicism teaches that the new Israel is the church itself, not a political state.
