My roommate's 21st birthday is tomorrow, so I decided to make her an alcoholic birthday present.
I was originally going to go for the overdone liquor bouquet/basket, but then I saw a champagne-turned-pineapple idea on here a few days ago. http://imgur.com/gallery/ktPFJKC
I decided to give it a shot.
I/m not rich, so I opted for Rolos instead of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. I bought 4 family-sized bags, which ended up being sooo much more than I needed. I used about a bag and a half total.
I just hot glued them on one by one. I only ran into spacial issues once, and for that the chocolates pulled off with a little effort and the left-behind glue just peeled off. For the leaves, I cut out triangular shaped pieces of construction paper and wrapped them around my finger to curl them. I glued them on starting at the top of the neck and worked my way down. That's it!

Honestly, my roommate loves anything chocolate so I just wandered the candy aisle looking for candies wrapped in gold or yellow foil.

I looked at those! They were pretty expensive for the quantity, and I didn't like that the Reese's logo was on the foil

I apologize in advance, but I hate people who freeze chocolate. Its like lets take the great melty texture and turn it into hard candy.

Its more about the caramel freezing. Then the chocolate slowly melts away and by the time you get to the caramel its soft enough to chew

Yea, I don't have that kind of patience. I just usually stuff a bunch of pieces in my mouth, ±chew , and swallow. Repeat until fat.
