What is the actual F is the EPA doing. I’ve been on EPA’s press release email list for years (anyone can sign up), and they’ve become complete ridiculousness and propaganda, to an extent I couldn’t have imagined. This is a screenshot from an actual government communication from today, 7/25.

Honestly the "no spill" spouts cause way more gas spills than the old ones did. I agree with getting rid of them.

The actual No-Spill brand cans achieve the intended goal and are really easy to pour from. Good no-spill cans are possible, but companies make dog shit designs.

I'm not agreeing with this shitty administration, but the designs over the last ten years have been awful and are a perfect example of good ideas executed so poorly it makes people hate government regulations. I have no idea who approved any of the previous designs, but they clearly never poured gas. Ever. Redesigning them to be no-spill and easy to use is not fucking rocket science either. Everything that sucks about them is easily corrected. It's all bad/dumb design.

I've never had a problem filling my mower with the no spill spout. Or my car when in a pinch. I haven't had to fill anything else though.

My guess is that they were designed poorly on purpose. I dont have the energy to go dig into it and I don't care one way or the other. But that is my bias on display.

I have 2; one for straight fuel and one for mixed fuel. I take the lid off both and use a funnel. Often spilling a bit of fuel…

Honestly I switched to safety cans a decade ago, and I'm mad at myself for not doing it sooner. Both of them still look brand new too.
