Need to see it in action

But but but, no video of the welds?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was my first thought. I wanna see the quality of those welds.

So a Cobb oven, but crudely welded instead of of crude masonry/earthworks. I can dig it, but Flaretop Rocketstove is a name for a anime villain.

That is a thing of beauty.

Is it from Ikea and do all parts and tools come with it?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You probably have to provide your own screwdriver.

No video of it in use?

I have others on my page

Thanks. The vertical chute is for heating a pot, the diagonal is for feeding the fire, and the sliding pan on the bottom of the original post is just an ashtray

Rocket. Yeah. Satellite of love.

How does this work exactly?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wood goes into the angled tube and is set on fire. Air rushes into the burn box thru the bottom tube and is exhausted out of the top. I’ve seen other variations on this that use cinder blocks or a bag of cement mix and a 5-gallon bucket. You can also dig a fancy hole in the ground to get the same effect.

Cool design, Im curious if there is a market for these? Or did you make it for personal use? By the way brother, you need some new gloves lol. I like using those cut lvl 1 gloves too when tig welding. Tillman makes a really good tig glove you would like, maybe you've tried them. These are my favorite, but they do wear out faster because they are on the thin side.

Those are my favorite gloves right there. The fingers go all the way down! But I have to wear a long sleeve or my wrists get flash burned

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

haha yes! no 1/4" thick seam at your fingertips. so true, they could be a bit longer. Even with long sleeves, I have to be careful.

There is. There is a guy in oz who makes kits. Littleaussierockets, has a great YouTube channel where he shows how he is pushing the limits of these stoves
