From my experience, that’s pretty normal “speed” when the seat adjusters are electric and not mechanical. But most importantly- her seat moves so slowly bc it really is the cherry on top for her reaction!

This is like when my sister drives. As a teen she'd pull up next a friends car while still moving and talk to both windows down. It was terrifying and I told Mom about it because it was so dangerous.

Also the wheel should be as low as possible without obstruction to prevent shoulder fatigue, you with the stiff shoulders and high steering wheel, bring it down a little bit if you can.

Yup, one of the things I love about my car is when I turn it off the steering wheel automatically lifts up and out of the way for ease of egress and ingress so I can have a nice low wheel while driving and also comfortably get in and out.

I mean, if you want all the broken ribs, and likely dislocated shoulders and possible broken arms, from the airbag, sure. And that's not to mention the awkward leg position having the seat so far forward leads to, which can absolutely cause some nasty leg fractures in a crash.

Perhaps you do not know but if you hit someone or someone hits you essentially a small bomb goes off. Its purpose to inflate a pillow to catch you.... but when you occupy the same space it wants to occupy the exploding pillow tends try to move you out of the way. But now the whole seat behind you also does not want you occupying its space. What happens next tends to be unhealthy for you. Don't sit that close to the wheel.

I can assure you, it is perfectly safe. My wife does the same thing whenever she drives my car. It is normal for a shorter woman. She has much shorter arms and legs than me.

Honest question: Wouldnt too many seatbelts actually hinder rescue and escape in an emergency situation and thus risk your life further? Say your car flipped and was on fire, you go from having to unbuckle one seatbelt vs several.

In race cars and rally cars, there’s a 5-point harness (seat belt), and the 5 straps are all connected to a buckle in front, just below your waist, which has a twist handle to release them all at once, so you get great positioning/security and an easy/quick escape when required.

Allow me to answer in the same obtuse vein: I was able to compare the two. If they weren't comparable = able to be compared, I couldn't have possibly done that. Ergo, they're comparable. But in all seriousness, social media and the larger internet are but vehicles for all sorts of information including comedy and other forms of entertainment or fiction. Expecting to find nothing but candid reality in online spaces is just as unreasonable as my comparison example.

“Fake” for viral videos means “deception”. The creators are attempting to make the viewer think the video was not scripted in order to heighten the impact. This video is very clearly a scripted skit that no one would think is real. People call out “fake” when the video producers are trying to fool the audience.

I think they mean being able to quickly turn the wheel if the steering wheel isn't close to your chest, but steering wheels can be adjusted nowadays so that's not really an issue.

never mind the pedals, how about getting a kid sized airbag? i have been a firefighter for2 decades. the times where people (mostly asian and old people) drive like this they were killed (quite gruesomely) by the airbag not giving a fuck and inflating to full size despite the drivers face, arms and chest being in the way. you learn to drive with stretched arms for a reason, the reason you not getting smoked by an airbag that is trying to save your life.

I used to care if people put their hand out the window while driving. But I've never seen that injury. The other two? About as much fun as you'd think.

rescue people generally dont publish those photos because they are (also for us) quite hard to process. humans dont like it when bodies are not shaped like bodies anymore and there are bends in bodies where there should not be or in the wrong direction.

I can tell you that no one knows this. I've never heard anyone mention this ever. No one has ever suggested to anyone i know that they should drive as far from the wheel as possible.
If you ask me, kind of a dumb issue to have, and seems a bit unnecessary as you would rocket towards the airbag even if much further back, but i don't know all about airbags.
Also Dutch are larger than Filipinos, men are larger than women, how do you account for that? Probably ignored it and catered to white men.

that is why you have seat belt tenstioners that just yeet you back into the seat so you get away from the airbag and are restrained enough for the bag and the rest of the safety systems to do its work. there is plenty of variablity in this system but its not designed to handle when you drive it with 5 inches of space between your face and the airbag. no different when you have your head against the window and the curtain bag comes down. the bag WILL come down.

I do got learned by my instructor i should never drive with fully extended arms, as you can't put sudden force on the wheel easily with those. Slight bend in the elbows at the very least so you can yeet the wheel easier.

People forget that the Air bag is the SECOND safety device. the first pulls you to the seat and then the SECOND holds you there.

sadly that doesnt help if the seat is just a few inches from the wheel. i have seen some bad situations where the driver could clearly have just walked away from if they didnt just got their chest caved in by an airbag.
