My baby boy will be graduating soon and he has big plans. Like we all did. I've done good for him. I've taught him how to love, win, loose, fight, honesty, kindness, forgiveness and everything I could to prepare him for the world.
But I guess I didn't prepare myself for him to leave me. Just yesterday my wife and I were leaving the hospital with my baby boy. So scared, not knowing how to be a parent. I had to change everything about my life to give him everything for his life. My heart hurts so much. I can't show my wife because she needs me to be strong for her. I have to tell her it's what we knew was going to happen one day. If we did everything right he would be okay. But I'm dieing inside. I want to hold him and keep him here. I would work till I die to keep him safe. This world sucks. It's hard and mean. There will be wonderful times for him. But there will be horrible times as well.
I just needed somewhere to say these things. You people are my crazy, strong rock to lean on.
Thank you for listening,
Dad
Edit:
His spelling/grammer, math, reading comprehension and so much is way beyond what I am able to do.
I dropped out of school in eighth grade went to prison for two years and then started working at the bottom in a oil shop. Now I do IT and electrical repair on many devices.
I had to fight hard to get to where I am but I made two children who will be a positive to our world and not a drain on our resources.
Both have a 4.0 GPA and have been on the A/B honor roll since around second grade. It really helps that mom is super smart and a wonderful wife and mother.
I have fell on my face, got up and kicked in the balls, got up again and life punched me in the back of the head. But we won't quit. We won't give you an excuse. Neither will my children.

Do tell your wife! She will be fine; you also need support. This shows you are a good person and a great dad. Sorry that it’s so tough!

Don’t worry, he’ll fail soon and be back to live in your basement as he struggles with crippling depression and suicide

If you told a bunch of strangers your sorrow, you can tell your wife. She'll be glad you're feeling the same things as her.

No. He is way better than I am. He picks on my grammer a lot and uses words I have to look up to know what the hell he is talking about.

Be happy you prepared him for life so well that he can leave home in times like this.

He is going to make you so proud. Then he will have kids and your house will be so much fun. Great times are coming, friend.

More babies!! I can do that. Fill them full of candy and a good jump on the trampoline then send them home. :)
