Andor’s a truly beautiful piece of television. Must-watch. I understand the sentiment when people say they’re completely done with Star Wars after the sequels, but I wish they’d be open to Andor. Not all Star Wars is JJ Abrams Disney-coded schlock.

Andor is barely a Star Wars show in some respects. Yeah it's in the universe but aside from aesthetics it's so different from everything else that has been out out that it just barely dips it's toe in the Star Wars pool

But that's what makes it so exceptional. No Force to fix plot holes. No lightsaber duels to distract from flat stories. No using major characters from the universe for cheap fan adoration.
No, instead it is built off the existing galaxy building, but is its own unique story. This is the same reason Rebels and the first season of Mandolorean were so good as well.
Clone Wars is probably the only exception as it made the prequels make much more sense and epic.

Clone Wars is why I have such love for Filonis work, he took what I hated (the fast turn of Anakin to the dark side) and made it actually work. He built the motivation up better, the gradual movement from light to dark, etc instead of "The Jedi won't call me master wwwaaaaahhh" that he had without it. Revenge of the Sith is tolerable now when I see it.

Nothing was meant to disrespect Rogue One which is far and away the best thing post Disney that has come out of SW except maybe Rebels.

Though my rage is inconsolable, if you are suggesting that we two could become a crime fighting duo, I a fearsome sith lord with an FC-20 Bloodfin speeder, and you a gullible, bearded, slipper-wearing jedi, then I would be open to something like that.
