women

And we men apparently STILL can't deal with the fact women are human beings, not property. I hope Women really do crush the Patriarchy and allow me to exist as one of the 'good' ones, but honestly...Thatcher was also a fucking cunt, and look at all the GOP supporting women (not to mention in the goddamned GOP voting against their own interests.)

#7 if they left his pants on (no offense to men who want to wear dresses) but otherwise, her outfit is awesome, and him holding a baby... he can have his hat too, Great.

Like the Albanian third gender

Based on their artistic choices, it seems that the greatest fear of men at the time was being treated the way they treated women. If so, that's a hell of an admission.

I have often heard homophobia described likewise. A fear of men treating you the way you treat women.

idk if i really needed the underline on basically every other sentence, maybe I'm weird but I personally find underlines and highlights make it harder to read

They chose not to be complicit in their own subjugation. I am proud of my mamas

Nice history of a hugely important movement. Here’s the thing though, if you look at the flight from ‘forced’ marriage, multiple children and the requirement to ‘keep house’ by women in the developed nations, whilst it’s been great for the individual it’s also been really bad for our demographic survival. Only cultures retaining ‘traditional values’ will survive the next say 10 generations if things don’t change. Nature and natural selection does not look kindly on personal freedom.

If the species cannot survive without subjegating and exploiting women, then it doesn't deserve to. To suggest otherwise is absolutely ammoral, and you should be ashamed to do so.

Women literally weren’t allowed to own property, so some of the founders of the movement were just women fighting for their inheritance. An unmarried woman with no brothers or close male relatives had no claim to her own damn family’s property when her father died….it would literally be given to the government

Not only the US. UK has/had a very similar set up for dudes. Downton Abbey anyone?? The whole thing hinged on distant cousins having a dick.

Interesting just how close the rhetoric today remains from the MRA/incel crowd.

100%! And even from people who are just ignorant towards feminism in general. I still often hear, in Sweden (!), people going “I don’t want to call myself a feminist bc I don’t agree with the extreme loud, rabid ones with short colourful hair and nose piercings” - that we “hate men” and are ugly (or at least have an unattractive style) is still right wing propaganda and it unfortunately affects some women too…
Fuck the patriarchy

Men scared that no women will want to be around him creates laws and religion and society to force women to be around him. Sometimes I wonder what society would be like if we were a bit more like elephants

I’m all for being more like elephants in general, but what is it that you’re referring to? I don’t know enough about them…

Women and children live together, when men are about 15 they leave to roam on their own or in small bachelor groups

Heck, women weren't even able to have their own credit card or bank account until the 1970s

Now explain why so many suffragettes were racist and did not want black women to get the vote.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 26

Why do you think that? Source? Data? Seriously curious about how you got there.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There were just as many who *did* want black women, all women, to get the vote.

Just like how we have feminists and TERFs today

3 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Exactly; big, history changing movements are messy & encompass all sorts. I don't think we should look back with rose-tinted glasses & pretend everyone was perfect, but equally not everyone was deeply flawed/wrong by today's standards

No, ‘Trump stupid’ is when MAGAs present “facts” without being able to provide any academic backing…

Says the chode who provided no source for his own claim. Useless waste of space.

A great many loud voices in the suffrage movement were racist but some of the most pivotal were black women who knew they needed to win a whole second war before enjoying the spoils of the first.

Thank you, but the claim was about numbers, which may be difficult to find historically.
Essentially, at least a 50/50 split was claimed.
