4/5 of the time, much like ones own hair. An hour after his thorough cleaning HE IS SO SILKY with very kneady claws.

It's something about white fur. My Abby has white patches on her throat and belly and they are so much silkier than the rest of her fur.

Seems plausible. I mean albinism in general means leaving coloured tissue white so you could deduce that black hair is heavier than "white"
