With all the weird restaurant names that have been coming out, I wonder if some restaurant will go "Double Down" and call it "Da Beetus"

Funny enough, posting that gif, also jail.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't get how they got the melted candy into a container. They keep ending up in my mouth after I unwrap them.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or ya know, try your own candy making? It's not that hard with a little practice.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like the title of this post better than the content.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Which content farm is this from? The western Europe one making fake hacks for $$ or the Russian one making fake hacks for $$ and to 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

disseminate Anti-American and Pro-Russian propaganda . 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

... I really fail to see how a jolly rancher video falls into dissemination of Russian propoganda. AD farming sure. Nefarious plot? Doubtful

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

TheSoul Publishing has over 500 YouTube channels, they purposely do not brand or link together, they release 99% innocuous but fake vids 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

with hacks that will never will never work, however they released a few videos with with fake and insulting info about America.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

IE. America will no longer exist in 5 years, states will break off and form their own countries based on their differing political beliefs.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Why the hell are we still posting these content farm gifs?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So... rock hard sharp candy doesn't really scream good idea to mix with soft food.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There's a channel that works to actively debunk this shit. 95% of these types of virus are just from a shitty content mill

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My question is who made the video, because there are several channels that make bank on bullshit "tricks"

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I think they're all owned by the same Russian guys too

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure this is not how confectionery sugar art works

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Get lost with that proven fake 5min craft crap.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Please take these videos with a grain of salt.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1 kilogram bag now on the way to me.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

These are all bullllllshit

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you're skilled enough to do any of this, you're skill enough to make your own hard candies.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Especially since jolly ranchers are kinda fuckin gross and if I’m gunna go through this trouble it better taste good.

Let's try the "New/Old Crown" category for $1200 Alex.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Most of these look dumb

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I hate these... Also those strawberries look like incoming death.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

90% of these vids are bs. Do NOT try them! Especially ones with molten sugar. You're more likely to burn yourself than get the results shown

6 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 3

Instead, look up actual recipes for candy decorations from people who know what they're doing. These "shortcuts" are not easier or better.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

And stab your mouth with sharp shards of hard candy not meant for biting.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I used to make hard candy from scratch. do not fuck around with it. if you get it on you, it will stick and burn. my recipe was 350F. 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Jolly Ranchers are not the same as pure-sugar hard candy. They soften in warm/hot tap water.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

shit is fun and great to make, but dont try any of this fancy shit till you learn when your sugar is safe to handle. even then... 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Okay but seriously candied strawberries are the best thing on earth. You have not lived until you dip a strawberry into toffee. The heat

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

cooks the strawberry, and when you bite through the crunchy outside, the inside is warm and juicy.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

sugar burns are no fucking joke. i was making toffee and got a glob of sugar on my forearm worse then cutting my thumb tip off 85% off

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

or breaking my finger. holding a warm wet rag on a burn to melt the candy away for whats left of your skin sucks bad so dose ripping it off

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've done something similar with making caramel. But oil burns man...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

but yeah oil sucks

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i got that tarry grill cleaner flicked in my eye that was the worst blinded me for 2 days healed up fine. man i miss working in kitchens.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got a near parrot shaped scar on my wrist from food burns, they hurt like hell.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

did you even read OP? he said hard candy to gum up his teeth is what he WANTED. is like you dont even listen to us anymore ?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A garnish should able to be eaten with the item it's prepared for, otherwise its a bad garnish.

6 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 5

Cool ideas though, for concepts.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like only the macarons one fit the bill suitably as it was actually the presenting dish, rather than the garnish.

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Agreed. That one looks nice.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that one was good.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Uh, some garnish youre not meant to eat at all....

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

All garnish should be edible, but some may be something you eat just before the rest of the food

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Therefore bad garnish

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I dont eat parsley sprigs?

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I do. Because I can. My mom says I’m still growing.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But you can

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Parsley sprigs is likes 80s 90s culinary. No one really does that in a kitchen worth its while today

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I eat the parsley lol esp is it’s on pasta. The restaurant I worked at did it but it was more homestyle comfort food & delicious 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tell that to every restaurant I’ve worked in in the past 2 years who do it with cilantro. One job I had to order 2lbs of cilantro a week

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Gonna wait for the How To Cook That lady to prove this works before burning my hands on melting hard candies.

6 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

Prove this doesn't work* I have no faith in any of these

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What are you talking about, dude. I saw a heavily edited video on the internet about it, of course it does.

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Can confirm the hot water JR Flowers does work. I've done it before.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Watched a YouTube video confirming the flat iron one. The candy lemons did not.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

The aus Youtubexhannel "how to Cook that" agrees with you

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Most of them work, do we did tricks like this at chocolatier school while sculpting, i even used drain pipes and a trowel at one point.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What?! Why did no one tell me I could go to school for chocolate?!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The melting jolly rancher does, watched an episode of locked up where a prisoner sold jolly rancher roses for Valentine’s Day

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did he also use them to make shivs?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

??‍♂️ maybe lol

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bet you are right. Used to make homemade hard candies. Hard candy that runny is so hot it would melt all that ice before it goes hard.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You would be correct sir. They use non food items and the n these to look pretty. Heating hard candies like that just gives you burnt sugar.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The flat iron one works but it is messy as hell

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a candy maker, they all look like they work

6 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 8

As a candy maker I disagree

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah, all was a stretch, the forming would be solid though, except the ice one

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's no way those candied lemon slices work.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As a candy maker you endorse bare handed handling of molten hard candy?

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 5

Things are heating up on the candy maker fandom

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I said they look like they work

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Hard crack" candy like these have high melting points. To make hard crack you have to get the sugars to 320° F. Bringing it to a (1=2)

6 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

But since the properties have been permanently altered already, melting it wouldn’t require reaching that high a temp again

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Different temperature will change properties, flavor, etc. And it would be kinda dangerous to just play with boiling sugar they way they are

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

It’s no more dangerous than anything else hot. The mixtures boil well before the hard crack stage, if that was the danger they wouldnt exist

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Molten sugar is still sticky and can’t be removed easily, I’d rather spill boiling water on myself before molten sugar. Every single time.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Think about it like extra sticky napalm

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let's not be dramatic. This is not the hard stuff. You don't suck dick for a jolly rancher. This is soft crack at the most.
