The Empire of Bullshit Eventually Runs Out of Fucking Props

Every authoritarian performance depends on the same illusion: that the strings don't exist.

The speeches are different. The campaign slogans change. The villains are recycled every election cycle. But somehow the script never does.

Convince people their neighbour is the problem instead of the billionaire writing the cheques. Tell them corruption is patriotism if your team does it. Manufacture outrage, monetize fear, privatize the gains, socialize the losses, then call the whole fucking mess "freedom."

The truly impressive part isn't the con.
It's that millions of people are encouraged to stare directly at the puppet strings and insist they're seeing independent thought.

Power rarely survives because it's honest. It survives because it keeps enough people looking at the stage instead of up at the hands pulling it.

The curtain only has power while people refuse to pull it back.
