well the Harding family operated from 1796 to 1993 in Boston MA. first under Newell Harding then Charles and the company after his death. they were more retail side with some silversmithing and hilts in the early days buying naked or fully finished blades doing a bit of their own etching and personalization and trying to be a one stop shop for everything a new officer needs. likely made by someone else who didnt leave a mark with harding being retailer like unmarked amazon or Walmart product.

they may have made the hilt, married the blade to it, and etched the blade even if they didnt make the blade itself.
