#31 The very first time I played I went over a mountain to get to Kakariko. Doing this I didn't know Hestu was there. I didn't find him until right after I had the Master Sword. I had been solving Kirok puzzles. Had no idea what the seeds were for.

I wrote another comment about this, but it's mostly valid points. BotW puts so much of the ability to play the game behind interminable amounts of exploration. By making the glider cost less stamina and giving you the ability to start from very high up, travel is much less tedious and makes that exploration enjoyable as opposed to a slog.

Jim Davis also made boatloads of money writing a toothless, banal comic strip for decades. Being wealthy and being creatively accomplished aren't the same thing. Buckley has chosen the path of mediocrity because he values the audience over challenging himself. Although I can say I've never shown my dick to a teenage girl I wanted to have sex with me, so I've got one up on him there.

Kudos to anyone who likes it, but for me it is so far removed from the Zelda games I love, I cannot get into it. BotW had charm I could stomach, this has too much silly stuff going on. I want a 3d open world remake of Zelda 2, music intact. And Error, of course. He should be a major character.

A Link to The Past is my favorite. I really liked Ocarina of Time. Majora’s Mask was fun. Twilight Princess was too! But… I just don’t like Breath of The Wild or Tears of The Kingdom. Anyone else?

I absolutely love them, but they're not what I want in a Zelda game, and barely even feel like Zelda games at all. LttP, Ocarina, and Wind Waker are peak Zelda for me. If I look at the new games as purely Zelda games, they're a big let down. But just as games? Super fun and interesting.

I think that’s it for me. They didn’t seem like Zelda games anymore. That and the weapons breaking haha. Because I love open world exploration games. Morrowind is one of my favorites.

Oh yeah I definitely hate the weapon braking mechanic. I know a lot of people defend it, but I hate it. For me, BotW and TotK are both so fun I enjoy them in spite of it, not because of it. Without spoiling anything, TotK has some new mechanics that make me a lot less bothered by it. And yeah, Morrowind was my first Elder Scrolls and was amazing (still is fun). I think playing these new Zeldas kinda like that will yield a lot more enjoyment.

I was doing it point blank within an hour, but it's just the timing practice from all the games with similar mechanics. Dark Souls parrying, Budokai reflecting, Pyro point-blank reflects in TF2, Full Rejuvenation potions in Diablo 2. As shit as I was (or am) at many other parts of games, that was one of the few things I was much better at than I should've been.

Use the flash from their eye as a visual cue. Unless it's from really far away, hitting the button right when that flash happens should be correct. Also, fun fact, the timing for it is the same in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
