I bought a sports car and have put 15k miles on it in 8 months. I drove a hyundai accent for 11 years, saved my money, and bought something nice for myself.
I have terrible luck and idiot tattooed on my forehead apparently.
If you drive a car without oil than your insurance will not cover the damages. The car would have not been drivable if I had all these problems. It had no rattle, pull, or loud noises when I took it into the shop. This raised a red flag and I contacted my insurance company independently. They agreed and I suprised the dealership. I had them show me the issues and had them pull the plug on the differentials. Both had oil and the wheels were not bent. They were running a scam and got busted.
I learned my lesson and am taking the sports car back where I bought it. Back to driving my old accent. I'm buying something reasonably this time. Moral of the story is, watch out for scams from dealerships.

The only “GM” I never had problems with was a Saturn, but those have Honda engines (from what I remember) .LOVE LOVE LOVE my Subaru.
