It was a solid show. We just rewatched it, season 5 finale was better than S7. Sucked they didn't really stick the landing with it. Not that it was bad, it just seemed rushed

Season 5 was supposed to be the last season. Buffy sacraficing herself was the plan. Whedon has strongly hinted that continuing the show on UPN wasn't really his choice but the fans (and execs) demanded it.

I read that also and I think it shows. The last 2 weren't bad but the whole buffy /spike thing was weird. I hated they wrote that SA episode it just felt like they wanted him to be bad just because.

Yeah. Now I love some of the things they did in general. Evil Willow is still my favorite villan of the series. But the show feels complete at 5.
Also, I've heard Marsters talk about how hard it was to film that bathroom scene and it fucked him up personally.

I miss this show like I miss a long lost friend. This show was my entire high school lifestyle. My sister and I would pretend fight like them after each episode kicking and giggling. I was Buffy for Halloween one year.

The scene where Tara's family shows up to bring her back home. The family kept saying her magic came from being part-demon.
Spike puches Tara (while he has his "don't hurt humans" chip) and is hurt in return proving she isn't part demon.
Plus I'm pretty sure they are all in the Summers house in The Body. Every actor got a chance to show their acting chops in that episode.
