One of the few instances where talking does more than doing. Prayer does nothing, but talking about praying shows solidarity.
Of course concrete action would be more useful. I don't want to oversell prayer or anything. It is pretty useless.

Sure. It creates a delusional and narcissistic sense of "I've done something good" now I can move on...so nothing actually gets done to help
