AHIP aka the American Health Insurance Plans, the lobbyist / trade association group has put out a joint statement that they will continue to cover covid and flue vaccines because they fucking work and it's way cheaper for you to get jabbed with a needle then go to the ER or suffer the blah blah blah they're fucking vaccines you melts. So if you and yours have health insurance, got suckered into medicare advantage or a medicaid managed care plan, get your shots. New covid vaccine is around in.... some states, at least Massachusetts and New York have echoed this and recommend it for everyone.

While it's good that healthcare plans are going to keep vaccines cheaper for people who HAVE said healthcare and can afford the copays, what happens to all the kids/people who relied on it through family planning clinics and medicaid and local community clinics?

oh they're fucked outside the handful of states that are providing it themselves. This is in no way some yay things are good thing, this is a, even the fucking health insurance companies know the Trump CDC is useless bullshit.

“Through the end of 2026”. So one more year… After that?

They'll likely continue. 500 shots are a lot cheaper to hand out then a single ER visit to them.

Their partners who administer the shots in the back of drugstores like the sales traffic as well. Come get your flu shot and pick up a shrinkflated bag of chips on your way out!

Everyone in this administration is taking bribes/money from a hundred different sources at once, half of the sources conflict with each other, but their greed, depravity and corruption compels them to grift no matter what. They'll do a little of what each source asks, even though it has contradictory outcomes and results. They have no loyalty to bribers or "constituents"... their only loyalty is to their individual, personal interests and wealth.

Yeah, I think an important thing to remember here is that companies, especially fucking insurance companies, the literal middleman of middlemen, has 1 purpose and 1 purpose only: profit. They do not give a shit about outcomes that don't result in more profit.
In my eyes, this is not a policy directive or statement on their ethics/morals/values, this is a marketing campaign.
