An issue is our microbiome in the digestive system. Some cannot even eat traditional anymore because that biome is already fucked up to a dysfunctional state. And then too many advices are crap, like eat fish it contains the good fats, but then most fish is coming from farms noowdays not even having much of these good fats because of how they were raised. Which ultimately makea you come back to: is meat truly unhealthy or is it just the big farm meat raised badly too?

All jokes aside, spray oil is very useful, however you choose to do it. As a former pastry chef, Pam for baking is magical stuff. It has micro fine flour blended into it, and allows cakes to release from the pan so much better than spray alone. We use the pro version at work, but I always keep this on hand at home

I'm old fashioned, shortening or lard dusted with flour. In my experience, it's better for a more consistent crust on the sponge. The last shortcake I made, I used that spray and it like boiled up around the outside and got foamy so the "bottom" didn't have that nice skin on it. It was like someone peel it away. So I'll save that spray for intricate molds (like the NordicWare Garden Bugs mold) where fat and flour wouldn't be easy or clean to do.

Do be careful if you attempt to replicate this, we made very sure that we only got actual "homeopathic medicines" (which consist of only sugar), in many countries real medicines are sold with the added "homeopathic" label and overdosing on those is just as dangerous as with the medicines themselves.

No. Generally, pure water is neutral. Most tap water is alkaline, because if it's acidic it can leech heavy metals out of metal distribution pipes (Flint, MI).
If you drink a lot of purified water it can strip salts out of your body because salts want to equalize in solution.

The one I remember was organic honey mixed with organic, raw apple cider vinegar, to treat heartburn/acid reflux. The logic was acid reflux was caused by your body's acid/alkaline balance shifting too far to alkaline, so your body compensated by producing more stomach acid. So you needed more acid to balance out the alkaline, and your body would stop producing so much stomach acid.

Lest we also ignore the fact that regular tap water already has a significant amount of oxygen in it (not in the cutesy way of H2O having oxygen atoms but in the literal sense of there being oxygen gas dissolved in the water, as is normal under atmospheric conditions). More oxygen would probably just permeate out since it can only support so much dissolved gas without being pressurized.

The point about pseudoscience is well made, but I got to say I have two of those spray bottles and I absolutely love them. You can spray or you can pour. And I have one for olive oil and one for vegetable oil. I was given them for Christmas and I would never go back to a can of Pam. Not because of the pseudoscience bullshit but because of the cost and the convenience.

I saw some at a friend's place and their mom bought me a set. They're so useful! I really think I use less cooking oil as a result. Yours may be different but I found 12-16 sprays is about 1 teaspoon so I don't use measuring spoons for cooking oil anymore.

I love using avocado oil for higher temp cooking. But I have found that unless they advertise 500° smoke point, it smokes around the 425° to 450° area.

Try to pick one made of an opaque material. Light exposure will make oil go bad faster, so the more you can minimize that, the better.
