I'm not a Phoenix fan and haven't enjoyed the trailers. I don't know that I will watch it

Fun fact: Pete from Twin Peaks sounds like the Heath Ledger Joker. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcKV2BkCSoc

Dumbo looks like he's about to get fucking punched.

Oh man this is going to get really blurry once it gets posted all over facebook

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The resemblance is uncanny

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trailer looks surprisingly good considering I didn't think someone could top Heath Ledger.

Heath would have been 40 this past week, I heard. I Miss him. He was a great talent.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Were they in a movie together?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Trailer looked pretty effin dark

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah... Too dark I think. The reason Batman movies could be dark is cause him being a badass is cool. This just looks depressing.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is clearly suppose to be a type of tragedy, not a "badass" superhero flick. It's a completely different but timeless genre.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel old seeing how much older Jaoquin looks now and realizing how young he looked in Gladiator and Signs.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

its funny because Joaquims actual brother River is dead too

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Yeah. That's hilarious!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He looks like a grown up Robert Pattison

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 "You wanna know how I got these ears?"

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When is this movie actually coming?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are they making this to be the prequel to the dark knight series?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Batman tends to go in cycles. Just as the Nolan Trilogy is a separate continuity from the Burton/'90s set, this will likely be a new arc.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Im pretty sure it has no connection to previous movies

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Complete stand-alone. No sequels planned or connection to the Justice League movies.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

From what I understand, this is a completely stand-alone movie with no connection to the current Justice League or Suicide Squad.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank God.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now I'm just imagining how this joker would transition into being the Jared Leto one, can't wrap my head around it.

since "7 things i hate about you" movie came out I have wanted Heath Ledger to f*ck me raw..

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

good to know.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey the heart wants what the heart wants. In this case the body.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

jeg er et kryb. did i spell that right?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As the only person in the world (or so it seems) who dgaf about Ledger's joker, I'm intrigued to see this.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I do believe his premature death kinda influenced people and critics back then, his performance was great but not phenomenal

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

That is a very good point!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Heath Ledger was the best Joker. He did it so well...He immersed himself so deeply...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not sure if making Joker the main character is a good idea...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's all about his creation. I personally think it's brilliant, especially if they plan on running with this for a few more movies.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Generations of fans are at an age where they want more mature stories - Such as well-developed tragic characters. It's a GREAT idea.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm up for the actor playing the character, I'm not really liking them doing a money grab film to "humanize" the Joker

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I honestly hope they show us a killing joke joker. Man whos so down on his luck his mind cracks and chips until it fully breaks.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did not need those feels today, you crazy son of a bitch.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well we'll well, how the turntable.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I first heard that Joaquin Phoenix was gonna play the Joker, I didn’t think he was right for it. But after seeing him in that trailer-

7 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 2

That’s what everyone said about Heath ledger. Maybe these casting people know what they’re doing

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not always. #WeDontTalkAboutLeto

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love Joaquin. I knew he'd be great bc he brings a tortured soul to everything he makes (probably from his insane childhood in a cult)

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

And the death of his older brother.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I didn't know that about his childhood! +1

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

-I think he’s gonna be the best live action Joker of all time. The subtle facial tweaks he makes when acting give me chills, but good chills

7 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 2

he is an amazing actor.. how he doesn’t go crazy

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

hope*

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Every Joker is a product of their time, Nicholson is amazing IMO, but as a period piece without Bats I agree... This will be near the top.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

This is what happened with Heath. People said all of these same things. History suggests, then, that this will be good.

7 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

When I heard Heath had been cast, I thought that anyone who bet their career on being in Brokeback Mountain would be fearless enough for it.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should hear what people thought of comedic actor Michael Keaton being cast as the bat, before they saw what he could do.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I just saw the Michael Keaton Batman last year. I hate it. A bumbling Batman and a dorky Bruce Wayne. Not for me.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 9

Is there a new joker movie?

7 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 6

By the way I saw the movie and loved it

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope. Move along.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 13

Yeah.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. Trailer here. https://youtu.be/t433PEQGErc

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

.....

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 21

Ive been off of social media for about 2 weeks yo

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

believe it or not. not everybody is a religious fan of superhero and related movies.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

And holy fuck, I don't even watch any movies, read any comics, and don't watch TV, but I have seen it fucking EVERYWHERE on the internet 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

2/2 And talked about on the radio. Hell, count the number of front page imgur posts on the subject in the past week to get my point.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

I only one it existed because if imgur. not this post but an earlier one. I don't listen tot he radio and spend my time on different sites/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And doesn't have the internet, or a tv. Oh wait, they're on imgur3

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

It has been splattered all over imgur, this very fucking post posits the existence of a new joker movie, asking if there is one is idiotic.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

Im not sure what to think atm, I really want killing joker, not one I feel sorry for and want to cry over

7 years ago | Likes 132 Dislikes 5

I have a feeling it's going to be like Rob Zombie's Halloween - where you sympathize up to a certain point.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Obviously not by killing Danny Trejo tho...I don't think he's in the film.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's more of a red hood move. To bad they dont have the balls to reference him

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Will be awesome to see him snap though.

7 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

I kinda want him to be a decoy-joker with the "real" one showing up at the end, offing him, and adding his story to his multiple-choice past

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Notice there is no batman... They are going for "poignant".

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some speculation out there this is the origin of the man who inspired Batman's joker since this is DCEU and not Leto.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

This isn't a DCEU film, though. This is it's own thing.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So it's just joker in the 70s and no batman? No heroes at all? Why not make it it's own thing then and not tie joker into it?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Joker in the 80s. As for why it's brand recognition and generating buzz. Take out the Joker and you're left with a remake of "Falling Down".

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I get the feeling by the end you know you should hate him but you'll still be rooting for him, kind of like "Law Abiding Citizen."

7 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

Whose character was named...Clyde! Wooooo!!

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Hey Clyde’s dale.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which is the opposite of how anyone should react about joker :/ I want it to be good cuz lord knows dc needs a win but i think it wont be

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They've got a couple Ws. Wonder Woman, Aqua Man, and Shazam reviewed well and seems to be aiming for a strong $50Mil+ domestic first wknd.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Hope they can reverse the trend but time will tell!
