It’s time to strike. It’s time to make them remember that we matter. It’s time to hit them in the only place they care about… the financials! This is important. Our nation is being slowly torn apart, and if we don’t do something now, when?!

Well, as a person who was against the war in Vietnam I will do everything possible to get the word out around this "red neck" area about March 14th

March 14th. Would putting in a vacation request that day be acceptable?

Does it mean your work stops? In my mind, that counts.

Well they’ll have to replace me with someone else. I’m just a lowly cashier.

Did you attend the February 17 protest?

1 day (or 1 week in amazons case) wont mean jack fucking shit to any company youre trying to hurt, its like walking into walmart and saying "im not buying this $5 coffee pot in protest!" in the time it takes you to say that, that company make $10,000,000 globally, so you 1 day doesnt matter at all

They had to strike over and over and over again in the 19th c—but every day was just that, a single day and then another day and another day. many died for the rights we enjoyed (and are losing fast). We are in for the long haul, years, decades. Perseverance and grit

I used to feel that way too. And then Covid showed us that this isn’t exactly true. And the act of defiance doesn’t have to be a flood, it can be single drops of water coming together. The act of defiance, especially visible defiance, also bolsters those in govt positions that are on the fence about standing up to the President. The Airport strikes in 2017 showed many administrators that the will of the people is still a force, and it ended the Muslim travel bans. At least consider it.

Go back to the early days of Covid when people were not spending money ... look how scared the corpos were ... we have the power, not them.

yeah and that was months of low spending...not a single day...a single day is a drop in a bucket for them, they wont even notice it

The way we are going, and a lot of big business that followed trump will close. I'm not buying anything major, and I canceled a trip to Italy, waiting for this bs to clear out.
