Johnny Depp has been cast in the sequel for 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', and people are losing their shit because of the abuse allegations by his ex-wife.
I'm a previous victim of abuse and I know I should be standing in solidarity or something, but he's a talented actor and I think he'll be a great fit for the character. I've been called a victim blamer, an abuse apologist, and basically made out to be a horrible person for my opinion. One of the people who attacked me on twitter had Chris Brown as her display picture.
But really, can Hollywood boycott every single person caught up in any sort of scandal? Keeping up the list of people to be shunned would be exhausting.
TL;DR. An actor was hired to do his job and I'm not unhappy about it.
