I tried it. Wasn’t quite as good as it looks

Same, lot of work and prep time for what it is. Did it once, doubt I'd do it again.

Cook how long at what temp??

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you even buy 1.5 check breasts you MONSTER!?!?! It looks amazing.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I think it is a pound and a half of chicken breasts

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One really big chicken breast?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice. Could you post the cooking instructions too?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have a take that this would probably be better with ground turkey

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Texture wise, that's not a bad idea.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1 garlic? I will take this to mean 1 head of garlic and will not change my mind.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oh my god they're potato sopes.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

kapia?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Listing "1 garlic" in the ingredients is asking for disaster

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was scared it would start: "When I was 5 years old my grandma would make this fabulous...."

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I get some of my best recipes from Imgur.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do too. And this looks great. But there's no instructions and one of the ingredients is "spice" lol. It's a trailer to a recipe

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is capia?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is there anything potatoes can't do? Bless them.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is Capia"?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Probably Kapia*

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah you're right never even thought about that. What's kapia?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

a kind of sweet pepper, took me a while to figure that out myself. Bell pepper would probably sub in fine.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

might refer to a type of red peppers - https://www.natureword.com/what-are-kapia-peppers/

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But at what temp and how long??

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aside from the very appropriate "spice" comments, what is "capia"? The only "capia" I can find translates to "Khapia". Mountain in Peru?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Capia" appears to be Romanian for "sweet red pepper."

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I google capia the first results are all chilis and paprikas/bellpeppers. So, I'd say a bellpepper or spicier cousin.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Probably red pepper of some kind. That is the only thing in the video that isn't listed in the recipe.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you just slap it to cook it or is there an oven, temp and time you forgot to add?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OP is probably a bot, a lot of recipe posts here are. This one forgot the link back to the website it's trying to advertise

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

as my comment about a bot probably doesn't help you cook this, cook in the pan over medium-high until it looks as in gif, then probably 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 bake uncovered in oven at around 180C/350F until potatoes are browned

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

for further improvement, I'd actually start the pan lower and cook some onions down in it first, then chicken, deglaze with tomato paste

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sweet, now I can actually try this.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spice? that's it "Spice"?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spice = Girls - sugar - (everything nice)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

spice is life

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I need to find a substitute for the mushrooms. Food allergy

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't bother. Just leave 'em out. I'm gonna leave them out because I hate mushrooms.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just leave them out, maybe add some msg for extra savouriness or something.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fair. Just thinking it might need some extra texture. I'll try it without, first.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just "spice". Glad to know that Paul Atreides is going to help bake dinner.

What a wonderful tv show idea. Baking spice with House Atreides. Sponsored snoop dog & Martha Stewart.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Actually, it's Tim Curry telling you where to cook it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously though, wtf? So I'm guessing paprika, garlic powder and two "green stuffs"...about 1-2 tsp each. any help? I'd love to make this.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I mean, you can just put whatever you've got in there. Do you not have a spice collection?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Whatever you've got"? I fear for the people you cook for.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean you can put smoked paprika, garlic salt, onion powder, and chives/basil onto literally anything and it will taste fantastic

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably sage and thyme, because it's a chicken dish.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Poultry seasoning blend when dealing with stuff from the midwest. Something pre-salted mccormics when facing a basic gif-resippy.

*mashed potatoes. If they were baked they’d have their skins on

4 years ago | Likes 236 Dislikes 10

Mashed potato, baked in an oven = bake mashed potatoes. Potato skin has no role in the 'baked' descriptor

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

But they have also been baked.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mom used to use that term! Haven't heard it in years! Thanks for bringing back that memory :-)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Twice baked potatoes are just potato skins with mashed potatoes.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Ya I was gunna say you might be able to argue these are twice baked. But they def aren’t just “baked potatoes”

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*smashed.

4 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 6

Smaked

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, smashed and mashed are not synonymous, smashed potatoes are their own thing.

*smooshey

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

but fancy people scoff the idea of mash. I bet this would be even better if they fried the bottom to give a crispy texture.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

If theyre pretentious they call it "potato puree", but any really fancy restaurant has mashed potatoes as a side.
