Went camping this weekend. They didn't really want me there though.

Welcome to Niagara Falls, New York. We're sorry for the smell.

Did you see Buffalo, "An All America City" while you were in the area?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When I used to work at Taco Bell they wanted us to label the tacos. So we got sarcastic. "Chicken." "Beef." "Steak."

Passed a billboard once that said "real" BBQ and it made me wonder...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure what else you're expecting from a KOA, @OP.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me either. :(

I think the op means glamping

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Truly. Should have said I went to a "campground" to stay in a "cabin".

Say what you will about the quotation marks, suggesting you'd be "Killed on Arrival" is far more off-putting.

I just figured this was at the bottom

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

KOA actually is short for Kampgrounds of America

Why the K? Honestly curious

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The logo includes all three letters: K, O, A (the K is mirrored) and is meant to form a tipi/ tent; also distinguish from other campgrounds.

But did you at least have fun "camping"?

9 years ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 0

You mean "Kamping", right?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The only way to describe KOA

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I never understood how it could be fun in a tin box on a concrete pad 10 feet away from another tin box on either side.

Or how that can be called camping. If there isn't a possibility of being eaten by a bear, you are not camping.

Went camping in Catskills a few weeks ago. Thought threats are highly exaggerated. Saw black bear on the road going home. Scary.

Im going up to the Tetons next week. I feel as if the warnings are being blown out of proportion there as well.
