If you listen to their confirmation hearings they did not lie by the legal definition of lying. A minor distinction to be sure but an important one when applying law to your argument. To a person they essentially said, 'Roe v. Wade is established precedent and they will uphold any and all established precedent'. They did not however say anything about not changing the precedent.

I’ll probably get annihilated for this, but Dems aren’t exactly immune from scummy behaviour. Many of them have been caught inside trading and there are never any consequences. Pelosi refused to bring the issue to the floor multiple times because.. ? Her and her husband were caught multiple times insider trading. She eventually brought it to the floor after pressure from her party, but only when she was sure it was 100% DOA. When your boss does scummy shit, underlings will pick up the habit.

That's because there is no law against congressional insider trading. Inside trading applies to companies, not Congress. Guess which party is primarily responsible for that being a thing.
