Made some puppy-safe burgers for the boys' birthdays this month! They seemed quite appreciative.

Birthday burgers for my boys! 1 year and 11 days apart, Chopin just turned 3, while his golden little brother is 2 now!

I don't doubt that if the husky could open the lid of the grill, he'd grab a burger right off of it. He makes it known that he's VERY aware of what I'm doing out there, haha.

my dog can have any anything that would be found on a burger, burgers are safe for dogs unless you're putting chocolate on there for some reason..

There's a lot that's usually on/in them that's not good for dogs, to some degree. Onion and garlic are toxic if they have too much, a lot of spices we like are either toxic or likely to cause a lot of stomach upset, and just about every adult mammal is some degree of lactose intolerant so too much cheese will also cause upset stomach. It's why I made their patties separate from ours, so I could make sure it was pretty basic, just beef and a little parmesan, and a smaller cheddar slice.

Mustard and onions are highly toxic to dogs.

Did they also eat the buns? Mine would go for the patty and leave the rest.

They ate everything except the lettuce, which I figured might happen, but I tried anyway. They like bread, and there was a bit of bacon on one side, and cheddar and mushrooms on the other, so the bun would have absorbed some of that flavour, which probably also helped. Mine both love anything baked, and for the husky in particular, banana bread is the holy grail of treats.
