Nintendo is one of the most litigious companies in the world. They've threatened/flagged/filed C&D/sued everything from people selling fan-art(which is extremely common), emulator development (which is legal) to Youtube videos for so much as featuring their games (removing free advertisement). They make really good games, but their legal division is so insanely out of touch it feels like it's controlled by angry, senile 95 year olds. Search "Nintendo litigation" to see an endless sea of bs.
