Bm is a useful next step because it teaches bar-chords and once you realize you can just sort of do those for most positions and you basically have all you need.

Just rewrite "All the small things" with different lyrics and an inverted chorus and instead of "la la la la" go "doo doo doo doo" and you've got yourself a genuine 1999 skate-punk hit.
