The governor of MN is tim Walz, last year if you made a list of the top 5 politicians with a spine, he likely would have been on there. It's hard to come up with a reason for this betrayal of the publics interest outside of the entire government being complicit.

It needs to be altered.... A cop should have civil immunity for his lawful acts... TBH, any civil employee should have immunity for their lawful acts in the performance of their duties (e.g. you shouldn't be able to sue a traffic cop for giving you a ticket for doing 80 in a 55).
What we currently have is civil immunity for unlawful acts, for acts in violation of department guidelines... for rape and murder and theft and violations of civil liberties.
