Here's a few cutting boards I've made

I work in many mediums. Blacksmithing is my favorite, but woodworking, leatherworking, and binding are all wonderful in their own right.

I call this style "scrap board" because it's exclusively made from offcuts. This one is mostly red oak.

When I work with wood the scrap is destined to be a cutting board, a spoon, or kindling for the forge. It's fun trying to make the most out of materials, it feels respectful. This one is all walnut. The lighter sections are wood that's closer to the bark.

My least favorite of the bunch but it's still a nice piece.

Here's the only one I've kept so far and it's become the daily use board. Walnut and maple. I love the reds that showed up in the walnut.

Pro tip: if you have a wood cutting board that feels dingy wash and dry it fully, then sand it lightly with 150 grit sandpaper, then use some cutting board oil or beeswax on it (you can buy this at most hardware stores). It'll revitalize and reseal the wood to extend the lifespan of the board.

This is the nicest one I've ever made, and I'm still working on it. It's a massive end grain board made in walnut and maple for a dear Canadian friend. I'm admittedly terrified of performing the next step which it routing out a juice groove and finger grooves. If anything goes wrong it'll be on that step...
