There's a new process that reduces CO2, or can actually inject CO2 during manufacturing. Unsure it's strength. Needs more development

Slag is much cheaper than the chemical alternative that is used. It is not as strong, but still exceeds building reqs. across the US.

What they are doing will probably take 4-5 days to get to approved strength, slag 5-6 days. Both identical after 2 months.
