I always wonder how someone comes up with an idea to do something like this.

Being locked up in your house for several weeks probably helps.

Same.

It's really not. It's gonna snag on everything or fray because its loose. Plus it would be less thread to do a traditional leaf.

I don't think it's loose, the loop is made around the pen and sewed under for each loop, thats why it didn't fall apart as pen was taken out

Who says it's for clothing, though?

This is the fight I'm looking for. May it be epic. Spoils to the victor!!!!

None of those address the aesthetic.

Beauty isn't always about aesthetic

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It kind of is. That's the definition. I mean, movies are just about the least practical thing yet we still describe them as beautiful.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

what if it's just a wall hanging?

6 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 1

only if its on a practical item. this would make a small hanging embroidery look so much better.

But it’s so satisfying to watch.

Leaf her alone.

Yeah, some people like to branch out with their techniques.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

They are just trying to spruce things up a bit

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

+1 Get out, all of you.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of those things make it less beautiful. Less practical, sure, but not less beautiful.

6 years ago | Likes 188 Dislikes 5

There's more to beauty than merely the visual. This has a certain ugliness to its design.

6 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 5

Just because it's embroidery doesn't mean it's worn. Could be just for art. need more context

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

snagging on things and/or fraying is going to make it less beautiful

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

The potential to become ugly in the future does not make something less beautiful in the present.

Come on! I called her pretty!
