It's slower than other family evs at 2.5 seconds for 0 to 60. Depending on the trim, the Lucid Air Sapphire can do it in 1.77 seconds for only $240,000 starting price.
I like how everyone just keeps comparing acceleration weight blabla. We have no idea how it is on the road, the goal is not to accelerate so fast that you almost teleport, the goal is to have a great driving car.
It looks aerodynamic. And in the industry of conspicuous consumption, efficiency is denigrated. It's a compromise on the principle of spending as much for as little as you can get.
Lots of really weird style choices. "Fine" doesn't cut it when you are talking 20 years wages for most people or the cost of 10 cybertrucks. Anything short of amazing is going to be understandably (imo) mocked as these are supposed to be status symbols and showpieces, not practical cars.
If they design it, and it's ugly fewer people will want to buy it, then they can justify not building another version because the market clearly didn't want one. It's a way to comply while giving them an excuse to not comply in the future.
It's a car they don't care about and don't care if it doesn't reflect their design principles. Let the guy who made the imac make it... it's not a car that represents Ferrari
JohnWickdidnothingwrong
It just kinda looks like a modern aero shitbox. That's not what people shelling out 600k+ for a 4-seater are typically looking for.
onlyheretoargue
I kinda like it! Not a big fan of the color, but I bet it's fun to drive!

Yeah that car is fucking quick.

I actually wonder if Ferrari and Lamborghini don't make more money on maintenance than sales. Required maintenance, mind you,

But what are the four cheaper electric Ferraris you have to buy first before they invite you to buy this one?

Ferrari and Tesla have a grudge match going on as to who can make the ugliest vehicle and stay in business
Targe0
This isn't an ugly car though, it's kind of generic EV design.
IncoherentApplesauce
Man, if this is Ferrari's entry, Tesla is winning hands down
wecouldbehappywithoutcapitalism
Like a fisher price Ferrari. Why does it have to be a Space Ferrari just because it’s electric?
BeerFueledAdventurer
do i just have bad taste or does it actually look ...fine?? Like, not for that price, and maybe not 'Ferrari' but it's no cybertruck...

I kinda love it, but that color blue is one of my favorite colors.
opentokix
I usually don't care about cars - especially not sportscars - but this looks like shit.
Targe0
It's fine.
Very standard look for modern EV's.
NR97420
It looks okay to me save the color. But chisel off some plastic and they could bring it closer to old school (beautiful) Ferrari design

I think it is mostly the baby blue. Wouldn't look all that bad in red. The bonnet is a bit strange, and there's quite a lot of black, but meh.
mrthewhitee
No, it does look fine. If it had a Honda or VW badge people would love it.
It doesn't look like a Ferrari though.

It ain't conspicuous consumption if it just looks like a practical car that you paid a fair price for.
rhalm
The people buying these probably don't care about the price, and the blue is likely to contrast with their gas ferarri

They had to sell something to comply with emissions standards, but they didn't have to like it

What's that got to do with design principles
