Just need to get it off my chest

It was maybe 15 years ago or even more, a now-classic Librarian mini with a staff. I was in high school just getting into the hobby. I was young, broke and stupid, but I know that's not even close to an excuse. I was just a shitty person, plain and simple.
I'd thought of giving it back, but I never saw the fella play locally again, and I suspect I'm probably the reason why. Now it's been so long that I wouldn't recognize the fella if I ran into him on the street, and the store we were at is long since closed.
How do you get over a mistake you can't fix and can't apologize for?

You learn from it and share that with others and you give yourself the opportunity to let it go. Say out loud what you have done to make up for it and then say that you have attuned for this mistake and you will now move on. Gotta day it put loud or write it down for it to sink in

You don't. Just gotta live with it.

Resolve to be better in the future. That's the second part of a heartfelt apology.

Post the mini in your local warhammer groups on Facebook if you still have the mini that is, ya never know

This is probably a good idea. Part of recovery is making amends.

I was going to suggest something similar. Pay it forward since you can't pay it back.

A long time ago, when I was still an alcoholic adolescent, I stole someone's magic cards. I still feel bad about it from time to time. But that's life, you grow & learn to be a better person.

A long time ago someone stole my magic cards. It'd be funnier if it was a joke, but it led to me and my brother quitting it and just assuming everyone was a thief from that point on
