I think a part of it is probably just the shift in perspective that comes along with figuring out your own gender identity. When I figured out I’m enby (demiboy) that shift away from binary thinking made me realize that what I’m actually attracted to is femininity. If you present fem enough for me to find you attractive, then I don’t really care what’s in your pants, I’m still interested in putting my mouth on it. Cis women, trans women, cute femboy twinks? Either way I’m down.

I mean...if she's dating a guy, that's not gay - it's straight. It might be queer, but it's not gay for a woman to date a man.

I feel like this sort of stuff just confuses people who don't know much about it. Which is why id describe myself as transwoman and I'm attracted to men. Some people would consider that gay. Some people wouldn't.

Yeah I talk pretty openly about that in the full video, and how HRT changed my feelings or shifts in desires as well.

I can tell you for a fact that HRT absolutely made me gay.

Before HRT, I was a straight man. After HRT, I'm a lesbian.

(Joking aside, yes, HRT can shift your sexual orientation slightly, but not in the way you think. In truth, before I was on HRT, I was bi/pan, but HRT has actually made me *more* lesbian, not less.)

I've known I'm pan for way longer, than knowing I'm trans. But never acted really on it, for unknown reasons. Romantically i still lean towards women, and am with one, but yeah, really enjoyed the time between knowing i'm emotionally ready for sex and getting together with my gf, by having fun with men, women, nbs, whatever. Although men were more likely to be below average, with very few exceptions.

Its well documented that it does change your sexuality. I think its a pretty big range of change though, some little some alot.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oddly every trans person I know identifies as straight, for what it’s worth.

Love your name.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thanks! I picked it myself

Same boat, Ashley, Same boat.

Amusingly, back when I came out, my grandparents wondered if that meant I was into men now. Mom had to explain the difference between orientation and gender identity to them. Of course I'd come out to her later as pan. Much less of a surprise than the trans thing

Made me gay. I was in a straight relationship with my wife. Now I'm in a gay relationship with my wife.

...I have gained a new 'appreciation' for Brendan Frasier, Vin Diesel, and David Bowie though.

I guess I'm a LESbiAN

People are so gd stupid…

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I've known of some trans girls that liked men before they got hrt and then became lesbians. So yes, hrt can turn you gay apparently.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

To quote a gay friend, “I’m not gay because I like anime. I’m gay because I like sucking dick.”

2 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Okay but I definitely had the realization that another sign that I shouldn't have ignored in my self about being bi was the folders upon folders of cute anime girl pictures. I brought this up to my hubby (who I've been with since we were young teens) and he said "I wasn't going to question it" XD

He's tryna hit it, but doesn't know how.

I wonder if the real hidden question here was 'Does your HRT make me gay?'

2 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

This

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Technically it made me gay. I liked women when I presented masc, I'm still into women now...

HRT? Do you mean Husband Replacement Therapy by Kathy Lette?

❤️~

I actually know a lady that fully states HRT changed her sexual interest. It actually went from men, to women, then eventually back to men.

I'm just sooooo horny that all things sound fun!!

I mean it would be interesting to see if increasing hormones like estrogen or testosterone would have an effect on what a person find arousing... Like maybe having hrt spiking estrogen would make your partner being harry more attractive to you since that is commonly viewed as masculine so the brain switches what traits it finds appealing

2 weeks ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 4

There's some research in at least hormonal birth control in this regard, which is also hormone-stuff albeit milder. And yes also seems to have an effect on people's preferences. Would almost be weirder if HRT didn't.

It def does do things like that :D It changes how people smell to you, how you register their pheromones etc

2 weeks ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 11

I was talking to a transmasc once who said he was surprised to find himself attracted to men for the first time in his life after starting T.

Pheremones or something along those lines makes sense, even in my cis-ass experience. There are definitely times I have found other men physically attractive, but I absolutely cannot stand the smell of other men. It is deeply revulsive to me.

2 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

It can! For me it was kinda the opposite, I am even less attracted to men than I was before. Haha.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh it definitely changes things up a bit.

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

For me, I still very much prefer women after my transition. But I have noticed some new aspects, insecurities dropped maybe. Like I was watching the music video to Outshined by Soundgarden and shirtless, long-haired Chris Cornell (RIP) made me go “Oh!” when it never had before.

HRT makes you gay like using chopsticks makes you Asian.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

I know absolutely jack shit about HRT and everything around it but at least I know it doesn't make ya gay. Okay maybe I know a little more than jack shit

2 weeks ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Wouldn't HRT "make you" straight in this case?

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hrt doesn't like automatically flip your sexuality, but from what plenty of other trans folks have reported it greatly encourages breaking down barriers that you previously put up in your brain, including ones pertaining to sexuality. some realized that they're gay, some realized that they're straight, some realized that they're bi, some realized that they're ace, etc. and some stay exactly the same sexuality-wise. it varies from person to person.

2 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

(and when i say "gay" and "straight" i'm talking in relation to their gender identity, e.g. "i liked girls before and i still like girls now, it just turns out i'm a transbian rather than a cishetero man and that's the reason why i never related to how guys around me describe liking girls")

2 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Weirdly, it's not always the direction you think. Before HRT I was around a Kinsey 5 (mostly lesbian, but more than slightly bi), now I'm more of a Kinsey 6 (almost entirely lesbian, but there are some twinks... most of them fictional...)

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

i was pan before i started HRT, but my preferences skewed towards fem presenting individuals. i'm still pan, but my preference skew flipped.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It does change your sexuality, not like an on off switch, but it does change.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Hell, diet and fitness changes your sexuality.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Dunno why it's so laughable, HRT can have an effect on your sexuality. HRT made beards irresistible to me, for example, before I only went for clean pretty guys.

2 weeks ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 4

Well I guess I'll shave finally

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Strokes well manicured beard.

Hey what's up.

2 weeks ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I talk more about that in the full video... It's mostly laughable because like I say in the clip, my friend is asking me if I'm into guys, after years of me talking pretty openly about being into guys lol

2 weeks ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 10

The awkwardness is probably most of the humor too. :)

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Touche lol, I just want to make sure the curious know that there is some effect, if hard to predict. :)

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

HRT turned me gay for sure. When I was pretending to be a man, I was solely attracted to women. Now that I'm on HRT, I'm totally gay, a woman that is solely attracted to women.
