I cannot emphasize enough, Fuck George Conway. He married Kellyanne Conway, helped Republicans for a long time and now he is aggrandizing himself as an anti-trump figure. But he is very vague on policies, he isn't progressive, doesn't support any progressive ideas, he just thinks he can capitalize on screeching about how Trump is bad all the time. Exactly like this tweet, and people will fall for it, I'm sure, but we need to have higher standards, he would push the dems even further right.

And if Tucker or Vance or Dr Oz or whatever the next right-wing autocrat is continues down the same line successfully then it'll just be more of the same, true. But I think the blatant attacks on the voting rights act is waking up enough of the voter base that barely concealed dog whistles will not be a viable political strategy for a couple decades.

I mean, Trump was a life long Democrat until pretty much the second he decided to run for office. Not saying anyone should trust this guy, but it's not inconceivable for someone to do something similar by jumping ship. At the same time, when a district trends that far to one party, I can ALMOST admire the ballsy play of trying to score an upset in the primary, rather than waiting to being a sacrificial lamb in the general election and run through the meat grinder to lose by 20 points.
