We took an oath to defend the constitution from threats both foreign and domestic. If you don't stand up for his right to kneel (you don't have to agree with it, but you do have to defend it), then you then become a domestic threat to our constitution.
And I'm so god damned tired of people that have never served asking me why it doesn't offend me and telling me why I should be offended. No, I'm not offended, because I fought for his right to participate in a peaceful protest.
For transparency purposes, when he sat initially, I was pissed. But then I did research. And I listened to some interviews with Nate Boyer, former longsnapper and Green Beret. The kneel, that was out of respect for Nate and all the other men and women that have proudly served this country of ours. There is 0 animosity towards vets or current service members. Hell, I have black brothers and sisters that get treated poorly by cops on their way home from going to drill, or a long day on post. And don't take this as an attack on cops. Because it's not. It's all part of the fight to make this country live by her own words, "All men are created equal."
