Damn y'all keep on down voting, but in the end I'll stick with my decisions.

Follow the Dr.'s orders. I can NOT stress this enough. NO lifting or strenuous activity. Seriously.

Be weary of the stitches. They'll get caught in the underwear.

Cradling > Icing.... Make sure you got some support down there!!!

This 100%. If you're boxer guy, get yourself some tighty-whiteys.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I recommend you make a punch card to count down... Emissions... Until "SPLOOSH", or in other words you're sterile. It's what I did.

I got mine in 1993 at 23yo by a unicorn doc - no hassle over being childless, just "sign this paper". 30 years later I do not regret it.

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

I was surprised that my doctor had no problem signing off on someone who just barely turned 20 lol. He is a great doctor for a small town

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I got mine on Friday the 13th in January. Within a few days my wife was removing me from my pants, and in two weeks everything was >

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

< back to normal, no soreness or anything.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

best decision you've ever made. Give it 6 Months to a year and you will be freer than you've ever been

I upvoted, but I like turtles

You all know the video I'm thinking of with the Kung fu guys pounding their balls with bricks, anyway first blue thought.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a licensed dick doc if it still hurts they probably gave you testicular torsion. Please google it for helpful videos and photos

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congrats. I'm a solo dad, I did mine a few few years ago. For me, It's been mostly unnecessary but took a lot of worry away.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well, congrats on the sex!

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Lol, and now I won't have to worry!

I need to get a vasectomy.

3 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 4

Totally worth it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Piece of cake. I’m really happy I had it done.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I’ll give it a go if you want.

3 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

If that doesn't work out, I've got a weed whacker. HIt me up.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

If that doesn’t work, I got some tin shears ready to go.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

If that doesn’t work, my cat’s claws are really sharp.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Scrotum? Damn near kiltum!

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah!! I got my tubes removed last March myself!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't lie! We know you participated in the ball kicker tournament

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We don't kink shame here ?

Mine hurt for 3 days. Mostly because the anaesthetic didn't work on the right side. Had to get another shot, caused some bruising.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My Dr. Stubbs did a wonderful job. No pain. No issues. He did say I had large tubes.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Abdominal pain is common post vasectomy, scrotal pain is much less common, especially several days later.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I had an additional surgery with the vasectomy that's causing it. More stitches than my vasectomy ?

I wonder if Republicans will target vasectomies because it’s pretty much birth control

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Nope, the rights of any white straight wealthy man is paramount to them. Your concept of ideological consistency means nothing to them.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I had a great doctor for mine and he made it a breeze, but you gotta follow his orders. That’s why you get a care sheet. Congrats.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doing your part, bro

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are you sure it's not the goblins curse?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

......the goblins curse? *que the sus music*

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have questions. 1: was it difficult to find a good doctor? 2: how did you vette your doctor? How much did it cost?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well my primary doctor recommended him and I had the consult to make sure it was all good. My work also provides a service where I can give¼

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Them some requirements (young, gender, etc) and they'll find a doctor. My insurance covered most of it and I think I have about $100 copay

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cool thanks for the info!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went to Planned Parenthood for mine. My insurance is super shitty, so it was almost $600. Definitely worth it though.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some insurances won't cover if you're under a certain age, don't have any kids, and other criteria

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went to get a vasectomy and found out I was already sterile during the testing phase ? the universe saved me a few hundred bucks

3 years ago | Likes 136 Dislikes 0

Who pays for basic healthcare like that?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

American it would be a few thousand, in Canada you just pay a few hundred for the local anesthetic if you've got a low pain tolerance

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In UK you pay nada, had mine done, my only expense was having time to browse during the steam sale :/

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And a ride on the frozen pea express.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Try half a million

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not everyone lives in capitalist dystopia.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes but I do

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My condolences. Have you tried bloody revolution?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Working on it

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Canada, where all you've got to pay for is the anesthetic. Gvt saves $$$ not paying out childbonus so getting fixed (and abortions) are free

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@op I have an appointment to get my vasectomy in a few weeks. I'm scared shitless and couldn't go through with it 1st time. Does it hurt ?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Had a hysterectomy; hubs had a vasectomy. I was out of work for 3 weeks for all the internal healing. You can do it! ?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It doesn't hurt at all! It's a bit sore now but not too bad. I would listen to some smooth jazz before you go to get some piece of mind

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thanks that makes me feel a bit better. How long did it take for yours ? Cheers bud

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had an additional surgery besides the vasectomy so it took 6 hours including all the prep and waiting. So i would imagine it would be 3 hr

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah. The needle of the anesthesia, and maybe 30 seconds of "discomfort." Ten mins total, and get ride home.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn I wish it was that fast for me

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

one of the biggest male privileges, control over your reproductive health. enjoy.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Considering how things are going, its possibly one of the better background things men can do. A subtle fuck your breeding program idea.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

oh hell yeah, i fully support vasectomies! just speaking out to (hopefully) inform someone who may not realize the constant fight women face

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're focusing on the political so let me point out: Tubes tied, abortion, plan b, diaphram, cap, BC pill, IUD, female condoms, the patch.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

Major surgery and hormone altering medications vs minor procedure that is not constantly under threat of being made illegal. I don't 1/2

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

think they equate. Both sides are equally inconvenienced by condoms and that the risk of someone altering them. 2/2

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Talk to any woman with no kids under 40 who has tried to get tubal ligation and ask them how that went. I got my vasectomy because doctors

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

repeatedly refused to help my wife when she asked because she 'might change her mind'.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

you might find it interesting how difficult it is to get authorization to have your tubes tied. it takes YEARS before they let you, no joke

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

all those chemicals and procedures are 1. painful 2. cause tons of side effects 3. carry stigma. IF the doc/pharmacist decides to let you.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

why can’t women ALSO have one minor procedure and be done with it? how nice to be a man with all the privilege to make reproductive choices

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you, Sir, could have opted for condoms for life. how about you join us ladies in a fight for equality instead of pretending it exists?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They still offer you _control_ over your reproductive health. Stop whining about nothing.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

*for now* they allow women to do some of the options that exist. if we don’t “whine”, how long do you think that will last? will they 1/2

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

whining about nothing…. what f*cking nerve.
