My husband and I are very interested in Project 2025 and its implications (as everyone should be) and he sent me this video. I, personally, do not use TikTok, but he does.
Idk how to go about verifying what she's saying or confirming the validity of her claims. I'm hoping someone in the Imgur community can help. I would love to know if this is true.
Edit: I saw a few people asking for some sauce. As I said above, I don't use TikTok, so I asked my hubby for his sauce and he gave me this link. Sorry for not replying. I'm a trucker and I drove overnight last night and this morning. I've been asleep most of the day today.

It's not funny, it's entirely expected and not shocking at all that a Conservative think tank screeching about China meddling in American politics is exactly the type of organization that would be funded by China. Every accusation...
smegheadenergy
Is there anything in project 2025 that details the mods here generating ad revenue from the fascist maga Nazis?
ConstantBitRate
I cannot express how happy it make me that you are looking to verify information you ran across. Kudos my friend. .... AND I get to practice my google-fu, Thanks!
ahleron
IP addresses from China that can be, for all we know, all recorded from a single day isn't inherently suspicious information. The Heritage Foundation has a lot of rich assholes running it. It stands to reason that some of their leadership has been to China for business purposes and these IP addresses could originate from a day that they were there. On the other hand, if there is evidence that these are tied to accounts always in China for years that is a different story. We need more info.
canseeclearlynow
Good stuff, but his is NOT going to stop people voting for trump - the USA is in real danger.
KirbyUOR
Anyone still voting for Trump won't be dissuaded at this point. The ones left are cultists
bound4doom
So actually everything she is describing is real because it has been happening for a very long time. Both Dems and Republicans and other orgs do it. I seriously doubt the FBI is investigating. I have had so many people on here on Imgur point to non profit website as trusted material. It is not. All it takes to be a Non Profit company is make income via specific rules. One is donations from corporations or people, does not matter if they are foreign. They can take in as much money as ..
bound4doom
they want, billions if they can. Then the expenditure rule they must use that money in anyway they want to further a specific cause or mission. That's it, that's the rules. Anytime you see political adds ends with This message bought and paid for by xxx. That's a political non profit and totally legal. There are non profits, whose goal is to produce studies and publish information on the dangers of renewable energy. That's their mission.
IAmNotNSAsodonotbeparanoid
And nothing will happen. Epstein, Panama papers, Trump, Boeing, etc.
KirbyUOR
Yeah, the number of huge things that have been "forgotten about" is incredible to me. Snowden's proof about the government surveillance of the American people? We joke about it. Panama Papers? Most people have never heard of them. Epstein and the proof that Trump raped children? BuT wHaT aBoUt ClInToN? Or as my grandparents said "it doesn't matter that we have detailed accounts of Trump cuz Biden is probably in there somewhere."
Wardonk3y
A failed coup is only practice for a successful one.
Ryebread91
Hers eyes make me feel like she's judging me.... And I kinda like it.
MidasTheAlchemist
Saved by the furries? Still go out and vote!
tr26
I see nothing saying anything about the FBI looking at the Heritage Foundation. Also I suspect they did not file falsely, as they have a charitable arm and a political arm, which is a common thing, much like Planned Parenthood and the NRA.
tr26
Also how is having activity from chinese IPs in any way evidence of being in cahoots?
DJOldguy
No it's not over, but the Heritage Foundation may be, if the FBI can break them before Trump can block them/ Like more information about the hacks that the Fuzzies made.
epistlero
I expect the supreme court will get to the bottom of this !
KirbyUOR
The bottom of their priority list, maybe
MrPengy
It's so cool that anyone can just go on social media and spread blatant lies. Especially social media frequently used by young voters.
"Guys don't worry, project 2025 is over! It's done! Don't even worry about voting lol everything is fine!" Is what I get from this video
JackHL01
boy, do i miss the time where such things were
a. a real scandal
b. a really shocking surprise
and
c. reported and investigated with a decent set of standarts, by ethical investigators and journalists, until the truth was known!
Bandlith
And you wonder why they keep wanting to get rid of the FBI

I asked him to find the sauce and he gave me this

guitarfourtysix
In my I.T. class 20 years ago we were checking domain registrars for popular web sites that were promoting the "inside job" and "controlled demolition" horse shit after 9/11. Most were North Korean and Russian. One particular one was registered to a street address in Vietnam, linked to a religious cult over there Blue Water or Blue Ocean or Deep Blue, I don't recall. But can you imagine 100 sheep at terminals just pumping out anti-USA horse shit. Wonder who was paying their Leader.
DamnedIfYouDo
Heritage is a shitty org and they should have their tax avoidance status revoked, making them file as a PAC, etc. But chances are those Chinese IP addresses are from their personnel's VPN setup, and not some Chinese agents trying to spread christian nationalism to throughout the US.
crossingdynasty
“We’re being persecuted for our beliefs (specifically, our beliefs that we should be allowed to break the law)!”
Feralkyn
I'd go to the original post, which you didn't link, and look through the comment responses to see if anyone thus far has challenged for source and either been ignored or answered with source. If the former it's probably bullshit, if the latter, there's your answer
KirbyUOR
Yeah, sorry, I didn't send the original TikTok link when I posted. I don't use TT, and my husband just sent me the video file. He didn't realize Imgurians would want the original link. I drove all night and into the morning, so I've been asleep most of the day. I asked him for the sauce, and I edited the post with the TikTok link he sent me. Sorry for that.
TheIronPenguin
I scrolled through the comments on tiktok and saw a few asking for source but they haven't recieved any response. (@OP linked to it in response to another commenter https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPREcaD49/ )
Feralkyn
Thanks, it's probably bullshit then but maybe she (original OP) is just asleep :|
TheIronPenguin
Yeah. Though I noted that she'd commented something 6hours ago and some of the requests for source was 8 hours ago. But there's also a deluge of comments so easy to miss stuff I guess. If it's not bs others should be posting about it to shortly, I hope.
YuffieK
IMO the only thing anyone needs to know about P2025 is: "It's a very bad thing unless you're an oligarch."
LincLoud
Excellent summary
thinkybrainpains
"It's also a very bad thing unless you want to live under Christian Taliban rule on a completely poisoned earth"
BoredBird
Y'all'qaeda is the correct term, i believe.
IconicM
You misspelled Theocrat.
Hemelsblauw
Actually, that's not good enough. If they commit felonies or fraud, it needs to be known. If legal action can be taken or should be taken, people need to know.
secondbest
Our oligarchs are idiots. Oligarchs do much, much better in democracies than in authoritarian regimes. Paying taxes is much better than having to dance to the whims of the state.
ATLandNerdy
What if I'm an oligarch bootlicking sycophant?
slack3rdav3
you'll have a variety of flavors to choose from
ChocolateCookieAndFudge
You can also do well if you're part of the regime's police. Racketing and bribery will make you rich.
backrideup9
To say P2025 is "over" is a blatant lie. The humans who started it still exist, the 900 page manifesto still exists, the fascist desire still exists. When tRump loses this election the only change in P2025 will be a rename to P2029. I don't know who she is but she's 100% wrong.
Ilickedthecinnabar
Exactly. We've got to keep these GOP fucks in the minority for who knows how many more elections, at least until legal protections are put in to prevent them from doing what they want to do (along with a de-MAGAtified SCOTUS).
Chromeburn8
I hope Trump doesn’t win bc I don’t feel like living in Gilead.
sylkysmooth
I feel you're wrong in saying she's wrong. You're conflating the fascist desires and goals that gave birth to the 2025 enterprise with the enterprise itself. While the latter is born off of the former the latter can be defeated. The fascism at its roots may not ever be, but these little enterprises can be and this one has been. Vigilance is the price we pay, seeing these sorts of plans be foiled, delayed, and otherwise overcome is what we're buying. Every setback for them is a win for us.
BEARD3DBEANIEE
partially wrong about that ONE aspect... you should clarify
OverpricedCrayon
Can someone give me the TLDR for project 2025?
Somethingwittythiswaycomes
Until everyone involved with it is dead, along with their families, the earth upon which they tread is salted its not over.
And honestly it's whats going to end up being the end solution eventually.
Thorketil
It will never end. The ideas expressed in Project 2025 are, unfortunately, timeless. They appear again and again in the history of humanity. They simply cannot be eradicated.
NotSoFastener
Right. Largely it's an agenda of what certain people will do once appointed to specific positions. Those people are named, and unless they are all in jail before January in a worst case scenario election, then they are all still available to perform their roles.
IrrelevantHandle
I see no reason criminal charges should change anything. Trump's proven very willing to pardon his cronies in the past and I can only see him acting more shameless should he be re-elected.
FellaWithUmbrella
So, right wing is projecting again…
MapleSyrupMafia
They're projecting so much that IMAX is considering sueing them.
badgesweedontneednostinkingbadges
As always.
vegivamp
Are they ever not projecting?
rusrsdude
It's real. Mike Howell doesn't even try to cover it up lol. The link to the full convo is in this article as well. https://www.dailydot.com/debug/h">/">https://www.dailydot.com/debug/heritage-foundation-hack-sieged-sec-chat-log-retirement/
https://files.catbox.moe/i0tkbp.txt link to full convo
Ismellofhockey
Nothing in that conversation confirms or even mentions that they lobbied on behalf of a foreign government. It just shows that Mike Howell is a frustrated dick.
Leithoa
But what is his opinion of vore? Will we ever find out?
rusrsdude
To add, all they got were "basic account information, such as email addresses, for company employees". Haven't looked extensively for the China claims.
seehemewe
I’d thjnk they need more than just China IP addresses. Like if some US citizens are living in China, is it illegal for them to work for Heritage? Unless they are working for Chinese Gov, I don’t know how it would be illegal.
KevinStrexcorp
The concrete claims relating to the content of the leak are accurate. The claim at the start that the FBI is doing literally anything is, so far, completely unsubstantiated.
Wrongclusterbdisorderbutgooff
Other people reading 2025: this is terrifying! Did you read this?
Me, a person with a uterus who identifies as queer, votes blue, has been outspoken for years now: I don't need to. I already knew what was coming down the pipelines. The fact that you're this shocked by it now is telling about how much attention you've invested prior to now
LuminoZero
While you're right to be angry, we need these people to vote with us. Disparaging them isn't going to help. Welcome them to the fight, as frustrating as it might be.
Wrongclusterbdisorderbutgooff
It's not so much even them I'm angry at. It's Dems and progressives saying this. A lot of people are showing how totally oblivious they've been. A lot of moderate Republicans have been out spoken against Trump for a long time. I whole heartedly welcome them.
Wrongclusterbdisorderbutgooff
Forgot to mention I'm a history nerd, my special interest is WW2. And when Ukraine was invaded I named off the new Axis powers. People didn't listen. Oh gee! All the countries I called out are starting to team up. 🙄
Wrongclusterbdisorderbutgooff
And I don't want to say "I told you so." Because being right about this means a lot of people are going to die. It's infuriating that only now are people around me looking into exit strategies. Like, I was saying it in 2016. I remember telling my grandpa we were headed for another civil war. "I don't think so." Ummm...
Redyls
LOL
TheGreyGryphon
It ain't. With starry decisis dead and the Chevron doctrine shattered the federal courts are gonna be utterly inundated for years. This won't see trial for ages.
iDragon3
This won’t see trial. Period, full stop. None of this will. And I’m disgusted with myself for believing and saying it. I’ve turned into an oldish cynic who has lost all faith in the systems that were supposed to protect us. I’m so disappointed at what’s happening. And angry that my kids are growing up during this bullshit.
KuldFyt
I would like very much to believe that the FBI would act in the face of publicly available evidence of large scale crimes, but is there any evidence for them doing so?
CelestialSea
Well, one of the P 2025 agenda items is to eliminate or castrate the FBI, so they might be interested in this one.
BarnegatLight
Everyone told them something was going to go down on January 6, they did eff-all. Propaganda bot is propaganda
deject3000
I’d just as soon believe this video itself is some propaganda nonsense to stir shit up. This kind of thing is exactly the kind of thing a Russian troll farm would make to seed misinfo and spread confusion and distrust. Obviously, fuck the Heritage Foundation, but a bunch of unverified info from a supposed hack dump isn’t enough to get the FBI to much of anything other than try to identify the hackers and arrest them.
Trunkmonkay
Almost none of what she said is true. Heritage foundation is not a falsely filed non-profit as their political action arm is a separate entity, so they're not breaking any laws, and nothing the heritage foundation has done breaks the law so why would the FBI get involved and why would they announce their involvement? The FBI tries very very hard to be an apolitical entity, so why would they make a public announcement that they're investigating a political party months before the natl election?
RaZeByFire
Yes, but if either of those arms failed to register as an 'Agent of a Foreign Government' then the FBI can prosecute them under the FARA. Same thing they nailed a few people for with the Russian Agent/NRA lady that some pols were photographed with. Though, strangely, none of those people were actual politicians.
Trunkmonkay
They're not an agent of a foreign government unless you or the FBI can prove it, and thus far it hasn't been proven. That statement is more of a conspiracy theory than it is a logical assumption. Christian nationalism as a driver has more merit than foreign interference. Stop making shit up
RaZeByFire
Oh, sorry. I meant-The FBI could CHARGE them as an unregistered 'Agent of a Foreign Government'. Which usually just makes them run away to be lauded in their country of origin.
Trunkmonkay
Again, this is a conspiracy theory with no basis in reality. They're Christian nationalist of a very American brand. What are you basing this assumption on?
KirbyUOR
That's what I'd like to see. She makes a lot of claims: FBI making moves, Heritage assholes losing their status, proof of China's involvement. I have no clue how to look any of this stuff up.
ndapp
As sad as it is, in most cases anyone saying "just look it up yourself" means there's no way to look it up. If there were they would've provided the proof/links etc.
onionninjas
Here’s the thing though. Even if all of it is true, and happening, it hardly matters to Project 2025. You can arrest people all you want, but you can’t arrest an idea, nor can you an ideology. P2025 isn’t people. It’s a set of instructions, and it can be implemented by anyone with sufficient power. P2025 is not over simply because its “creators” are gone. It still looms, ever skulking in the background, while it waits for the right POTUS to pull the trigger.
WigglyBlondeNoodle
The irony for me is that she makes these claims on TikTok which China uses as their own personal data mine to spy on other countries.
Pikkupanda
That was the dodgy part for me.
MrSnuffleupagus172
And doesn’t provide any sauces….anytime someone makes claims like this, they should provide readily accessible sauces, IMHO. It’s easy enough to do, and the fact that she doesn’t, makes me cautious, to say the least.
AnonKneeMoose
The leaks from the real hack by Siegesec does contain Foundation members with ties to China. However it’s doubtful the FBI does anything. They’re still dragging feet about the insurrection.
marthafarquar
I'm not sure there is anything the FBI can do as all the evidence was gained illegally and would probably be declared inadmissible in any legal proceedings.
Seggs
couldnt those hacks be used as probable cause for an actual search warrant to legally get that same information?
eca05jrc
Would it count as probable cause for a warrant though?
KevinStrexcorp
They could plausible use the info in the leak to open investigations to legally copies of the same, but i'd honestly be surprised if they did/had.
Eroen0
The I is for Investigation, and that part became much simpler when there are specific people in China who did specific things that can be investigated, as opposed to some orange dude at a podium yelling "maybe China?" and his worshippers complaining that nobody took him seriously.
aRabidGerbil
Illegally obtained evidence is only illegal if it is obtained by law enforcement or on behalf of law enforcement
seehemewe
I’m no lawyer, but this is what I remember learning in school.
If illegally obtained evidence couldn’t be used in crimes, then criminals would be all about getting other criminals to “rob” them and turn over evidence.
And even if cops illegally obtained evidence, if they can prove that they would’ve found that evidence legally, then that often allows the evidence to be used.
Agreeablebug6
The evidence was not gained by THEM illegally. If cops witness someone stealing a stolen gun, you can get them both for that.
DevCatOTA
There's been a case where a burglar stole a PC, saw CP on it and turned it over to law enforcement out of disgust. Yes, the owner was arrested. Here's a recent one:
https://www.chicagotribune.com/2024/07/10/man-gets-seven-years-in-burglaries-he-found-child-porn-in-now-ex-school-employees-house/
vegivamp
I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I would think that once the hackers made it public, the FBI just picks it up and didn't acquire it illegally?
I mean, I see the slippery slope there, but surely something like that appearing in a public forum should suffice to say least start their own investigation.
Agreeablebug6
Cops can witness guy A stealing a gun from guy B, arrest guy A for it, realize the gun isnt guy B’s and that it’s stolen and then go arrest guy B for it.
Kingdomonsterdeath
Would it, though? The information was essentially stolen from a federally recognized lobbying group. The FBI could investigate the hack, but any illegal operations found under that investigation should be admissible. Even if it is evidence used from the hack. Besides, to prove it was hacked, they would need to verify the information released. That should be admissible as well.
Marsupialmessiah
The only thing that could cone out of this is the arrest and prosecution of the gay furry hacking group, which is the oppositenof what should happen. Forbidden fruit, cant act on this evidence at all,
IHaveGreatKittenRecipes
No, forbidden fruit is if the cops obtain information illegally and then use that information to find actual evidence. A warrant in bad faith, an illegal search, these will lead to fruit of the poison tree and end up screwing the prosecution. Cops *can* benefit from the crimes of others. If you break into someone's house and find a dead body or child porn or whatever, police absolutely can use that info to get a warrant. The cops can't order you to break in! But they can benefit if you do.
